Whilst she's more famous than Bloor and Bear she's nowhere near as well known as she's making out. "our Sam", total bollocks. I only knew her because she was once obnoxious in another reality TV show about a club, I had no idea about her singing.

She was originally famous for getting her tits out for page 3, sorry, I forgot, I meant art.
The club was 2003 the jungle 2012, previous fame in the uk about 1990 so there is a lot years missed out for her 33 year career

Bear and Lewis are well known to their generation as Sam fox to hers but will enough of that genration pick up the phone.

They didn't when she was in the jungle
I forgot she was even in the Jungle and I remember watching that series because Katie Price was getting all the trials and she quit. Joe Bugner replaced someone because he lived down the road, telling the celebs about what can kill you in the jungle.

I remember Samantha Fox in the 80's because she started her page 3 debut at a young age. That was big news even in Australia, she had a couple of hit singles and graced a lot of lads mags. I do like her but don't think many would pick up the phone to save her.

"Everybody" includes millions of younger people who have never heard of Sam.
Not that 'young' either

It's 33 years since she plied her trade ( getting her tits out ) so the people who will never have heard of her goes right up to those in their early 40's

Bit sad really that she lives in the past like that

When it comes to BB, even if something has some truth to it, it's not always a good idea to just come out and say it.
Who could forget 'Tesco Zoe' Birkett from BB15?

Sam the scab: In a scene that surely encapsulates the ideological debates of the 1980s better than any other, she broke through the picket line of striking print workers at News International's headquarters in Wapping, east London, in a tank.

The military vehicle had been summoned by the Sun newspaper in order to transport their big-busted page-three girl, Samantha Fox, inside the wire for a photo call. Not long afterwards the resulting picture was splashed across the front page of the Sun. The ‘story’ read:

EYES FRONT! Sexy soldier Sam Fox inspects her loyal troops in the war of Wapping.

Bravely pointing her bazookas at the enemy lines, she advanced on the Sun’s besieged new offices yesterday.

And repelling print union pickets, she thrust forward in an armoured truck to inspect our troops. The lads’ eyes really lit up at the Wapping front.

Pretending Sam Fox is obscure?? Thought I'd seen it all on this forum. Maybe to generation snowflake she's unknown, but you'd struggle to find a grown up that hasn't heard of her, and she's never been a portrayed in a negative light.

Who the hell had (honestly) heard of Stephen Bear before CBB made him famous? No one that I know.

Working class Sam - the strike breaking scab -

Page three model Samantha Fox - herself a symbol of the 80s - famously broke through the Wapping picket line on a tank. The stunt coincided with the height of her celebrity and the power of the Kelvin Mackenzie-edited Sun.

I don't mind Sam and there's no denying her level of fame certainly between middle aged and older people but her grandiose comments tonight were absolutely embarrassing. "Our Sam" indeed. I think only the Sun newspaper ever called her that and that was because she was contracted to get her tits out for them on a regular basis. Truth is her big ego took a knock tonight being nominated and she handled it abysmally. Silly woman.
I agree. In her day, she was a household name with a level of fame most in the house would kill for. She was the 80's equivalent of Cheryl Cole (but with her tits out) - the media designated her 'the nations sweetheart' and she was very good at playing along.

However, she's been out of the public eye for many years now but seems to expect the GBP to still be holding a torch for her after all these years. I do think she expected to sail into the final and can't quite believe the cheek of those she sees as not up to her level daring to nominate her, Our Sam

I'm of 'the correct age' and thought she was disgraced in the fake (dangerous - ?) diet pill scam she was pulling with her husband in the late 80s/early 90s

I've certainly no great affection for her just because hers were the first pair of breasts I could see on a regular basis

Sam was absolutely furious that Bear basically said she had done nothing but sit there the whole time - furious because she knew it to be true and the truth hurts.

Just goes to prove it isn't the way they edit the programme either if Bear said that as he's obviously in the house all the time and seeing what goes on.

Her 'Britain loves me' remark proves Lewis correct when he said she automatically expects to win. Her cringe worthy hissy fit about being nominated is the first time I've seen anything from her. Not sure she'll go on Friday - Ricky is probably finished though.

That scene from The Club, where Sam was dressed as a vampire and totally p1ssed, was hilarious.
She was having a row with some guy, and went for a dramatic exit, but ended up with her vampire cloak wrapped around her head.
She made an unholy show of herself so no wonder there was a large gap before her next TV appearance.

No way are Bear and Lewis as well known to their generation as Sam Fox was to hers.

Absolutely no chance.

She does seem to be a national treasure. Does it mean she deserves to win? No. But she is well-loved by many.

If I was asked to name a famous Sam, it would be Sam Allardyce. Never in a million years would I say the name of a boring, washed up Page 3 girl from like about 30 years ago. Sam is truly deluded, an embarrassment. Hope she gets booed tomorrow nite.
