It's happened a few times this year with some of the higher profile celebs criticising the absolute bottom of the barrel Z-listers for being nobodies.

The thing is, a Z-Lister making it onto CBB is actually a step up in their career. It may only be the step from Z-Lister to Y-Lister but it's still an improvement in terms of their career ladder.

On the other hand, if you're more of a C-Lister and you've somehow ended up on CBB then you're career is in tatters.

Gary Busey wouldn't have appeared on the British CBB if he hadn't gone completely insane and become a parody of his former self.

But at least he went along with the joke.

Sam really does take herself too seriously. Being annoyed with Bear is perfectly respectable, I admire the HM's for not having killed him yet. But some of the tripe Sam has come out with this series is just mind-boggling.

Have SOME self-respect and have the courtesy to laugh at yourself for appearing on CBB.

Same with Katie, I still have no effing clue who she is.

That was painful. No wonder her singing career went down the pan.

I agree. You're always going to come off worse because it just makes you look like a giant ego. Which, let's be honest, a lot of viewers think of the non-Reality celebs anyway. You're just digging your own grave. Even if there's truth too it.

Most of the people Sam probably considers beneath her are actually far more current than she is. Thier careers are on the way up. Hers has been on the way down for over two decades.

Hasn't had a UK chart album since 1988. Even her 2 "Greatest Hits" albums failed to chart.

A nonentity in the industry for almost 30 years.

I'd actually love an A-Lister to go in for poops and giggles.

Can you imagine Susan Sarandon Vs. Bear?

That was one of her better ones!!

Which there wasn't. In Sam's case she was a page 3 girl who only made the charts with her record because of her success at being topless in the newspapers. And in Katie's... well, she's not even a has been... more a never was.

Just to clarify... not a squad fan here. Heavy was out of order with Katie and I can't stand Bear, but putting yourself on a pedestal and trying to point out you're better than someone else is never a good move.

I meant in general. Not specifically in Sam's case.

I loved that.
She came over so well and her personality shone through.

We haven't been shown anything like that level of joie de vivre in CBB.

Really?

I disagree.

Like we have always said, someone proper famous will never go in because:

1. They'd want a huge amount. What's the point of going through weeks of putting up with boredom and stupid tasks for half a million, when they can get 4x that for acting in some film (a job they enjoy)

2. Being more known does not make you more interesting, in fact it probably makes you more dull because...

3. You have more to lose, They'd just go on and not do anything to harm their careers. The reason less known people lose it and have bigger moments is because they are quite at the bottom of the celebrity list, and anything they do will bring them up.

4. And the most important, the majority of CBB contestants coming out more disliked than they went in.

Why would any self respecting celebrity enter?

Katie came nowhere near winning x factor six years ago and she thinks she's more famous than Boom? Not saying the Boominator is even remotely famous but he's far more current than the Weasel.

Sam think she's won this, which is why she's been so boring in there. Her arrogance knows no bounds.

They have had big names in the past. Vinnie Jones and Michael Madsen are both successful movie stars and both received huge fees. I think the money has possible dried up though. The most famous person this year was probably Biggins which says it all. He's simply not in the same ball park as Madsen or Jones.

That's what i mean though. Those are the only two who were still famous at the time of their appearance.

Vinnie proves my 2nd, 3rd and 4th point. Madsen wasn't huge IMO, big, but not huge.

This series they have spend around 20% of the money they spent on January. I think this series spent the least ever. Which makes me wonder they have around £2m spare for next January.

If you said that because of my comment. I know no major celeb would go in there. I just think it would be funny to see them interacting with the likes of Sam, Bear et al.

The reason I mentioned Sarandon in particular is because she's incapable of keeping her opinions to herself. She would, in my view, be interesting. She doesn't give a flying what anybody thinks of her. She never has.

I agree though - some of those so called 'celebs' take themselves too seriously! At least Bear the reality star has a sense of humour!

Samantha fox is an egomaniac, she's hiding her true personality just to win the show, from time to time she accidentally shows her true colors then she quickly realizes and goes back to the sweet nice guy routine

all observant and reasonable thinking people can see right through her ...we didn't fall for it

Her and ricky let the camera's know often what good guys they are if you didn't see those video moments between Sam and Ricky, it's hilarious to watch and not scratch my head with wonder lol

Katie didn't pull rank though. Heavy D called her an X Factor reject (absolute irony considering no one knows who he is) and she stuck up for herself. Katie may be an ex reality show contestant but she was the most written about finalist on the highest rated series of one of the biggest shows of the last 20 years. That's a damn sight more famous than whoever he is.

Exactly, and she's probably right that more people will have heard of her grandmother than Heavy D too. Hardly anyone knew who Heavy D was before this, and I can't see him doing much after given the less than favourable reaction to him while he's been on.

I find this idea that Bear and Heavy D are deflating egos a bit laughable, as if they aren't both incredibly egotistical themselves. They just have less reason to be. Heavy D really thought he had any hope of winning despite his low public profile and having little to offer beyond shouting "BOOM!" all the time. Bear and Heavy D both act like the whole world revolves around them and their needs are more important than anyone elses.

Exactly, he started openly picking on her and antagonising her, and nobody could realistically have taken his side or had him come out of it well in any way. Then she stupidly started the Big I Am talk, effectively rising to his bait. It was a situation that should have been entirely him looking bad and her coming off well (as she did with her inflappability at the start) but then she needlessly went and made herself look bad into the bargain.

Did she really need to go into so much detail about her grandmothers sexual notoriety to explain her quote that she was more famous than Heavy
