What's your experience of dealing with LG customer care if your G4 has been affected by the boot loop?

For those who are unfamiliar: http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-...-a-fix-1313769

I sent mine in the pre-paid envelope LG supplied. It's now been a month - and there's no sign of my G4. I've queried this with LG and they can offer me no timescales at all.

Do you think this is an acceptable time to wait? Further, do you think LG should have offered to swap out affected devices, rather than waiting for the affected batch to fail, which many will.

My friends with iphones tell me that if in warranty, Apple will normally swap out the same day. I'm trying not to get too ranty about LG, but this experience has made me thing again about buying the brand.

Thoughts?

I got mine back 3 weeks after I sent if off. There was a delay at the start due to them not having the part they needed.

I found LG customers services excellent when I had to sort out my boot looped G4, a few standard questions on my phone ownership and it was processed, the only trouble I had was some system glitch regarding the currier DPD, arranging a pick up was no problem, but come the pick up date it would always be cancelled as LG had failed to provide them with the packaging required for the currier to pick it up. This happened three times and required phone LG to rearrange each time, they were very apologetic but it did add 2 weeks into the process which was only a week door to door once it had been picked up.

Thanks for your replies - looks like I'll have to keep waiting. Week 5 now!

Got mine back today one day short of 4 weeks.

The customer service reps are polite but useless when finding out info. They get a single update from the repair centre every day and can give you no idea when your phone will be fixed and they never get back to you.
