BB: I want REAL reality tv, not this 'entertainment' cr*p
BB should be about real people, not manipulated and not about people feeling they have to 'show off' or, like Bear, playing up and acting for the camera and to 'entertain' me..
I like BB when it's real, not this fake-&rse rubbish. |

Yawn.
January's CBB was very similar - surprised you didn't get the message then. The pearl clutchers will no doubt dogpile onto this thread but it's about the hundredth we've seen on this exact same topic. |

What's more worrying for me is this incresingly frequent occurence of focusing a whole series around one almighty horror to the detriment of the show. Its like BB's go to trick now, even though it has produced most of the shows worst series since the move to C5.
First we had Speidi, which ruined CBB11 as the rest of the cast bar Rylan were reduced to hollow set pieces. Then we had BB15, which was dominated by emotional terrorist Helen thanks to her pass to the final. A thoroughly miserable series thanks to her when she really should've been evicted a few weeks in. Then we were subjected to CBB15 and the Perez show. With the equally horrific Katie Hopkins as his main adversary it was a lose / lost situation. If that wasn't bad enough, we were then tortured with BB16. After lulling us into a false sense of security for two weeks in the hopes we'd get a normal series they then stuck in the odious Marc and we had to watch this neverending cycle of him poking and prodding and winding his housemates up. Made even better by the return on Helen. Now just when you think that era of the show has finally been put behind us, here we are again with the Bear show. Another vile little cretin designed to make all his other housemates absolutely miserable and have the whole show revolve around him. Whats even worse is that the public have become so used to this that an ever-growing portion of the audience seems to be championing these characters now. Under the pretence that they're making the show and everyone else is boring. But BB's strengths have always lied in the series which have been an ensemble effort rather than shuting over half a cast full of potentially interesting characters into the background so we can watch some specimen throw eggs or oil on the floor. Or get ridden by some plastic bimbo. I am more and more relieved every time by luck we get a fleeting moment of escape from this poisonous new formula and they actually manage to pull a good series out of the bag. A series with a whole host of interesting characters sharing the limelight and no one suffocating the show with their desperate antics. CBB17 and BB17 were a welcome reprieve. |

I am not even asking for "real", just cut out the bad acting, scripting and producing. And if the housemates (cast) are under performing in the first 2 weeks then shake it up, a bit like in BB 16 when they sent in Marc and changed up the pace and tasks.
