Emmerdale: why are people blaming Robert for chrissies transformation
He hasn't even been on her radar for months this is on Andy, he may have treated her badly but she wasn't exactly head over heels in love with him so you'd have thought she would have go over it by now. Pretty much everyone in Emmerdale has been cheated on and not reacted by turning into a panto villain.
I find her fun to watch and would love her to destroy Robert and Aaron, I just don't think he can be blamed this time. |

Also I do not enjoy watching Chrissie 2.0, the woman looks ridiculous with that hair and eye make up plus Louise Marwood is not capable of convincingly playing a bad bitch. Its all been an epic fail IMHO. |

I wouldn't say Robert has had no role but its obviously much more complicated than Robert drove her to it. She obviously had a terrible relationship with Lauchlan's father before she was with Robert. Didn't she have him taken care of? Plus the immediate problems with Lawrence and her son. Andy cheated with her step mother etc. etc.

I think the only people you can blame for Chrissie's transformation are the storyliners, who have clearly been at the fairy dust.

This is not Andy or Robert's fault. Chrissie is mentally disturbed and is in serious need of mental health help. The actions she takes for men cheating on her are way to extreme. Did Lisa react this way when Joanie cheated? No because Lisa is a sane normal woman.

From interviews it seem like Louise wanted to turn chrissie into a superbitch which would be fine but she doesn't feel like a bitch, she's more of a cartoon villain these days.
I don't really think Robert is getting the blame the narrative seems to be it was Andy breaking her heart that destroyed her which is dumb considering the obvious contempt she has shown for him and clearly always thought he was a moron which makes her being in love with him unbelivable. Describing his only talents as mowing the lawn and being northern was ace though. |

I love the transformation - sure it's a little bit silly and she's nothing like the Chrissie who arrived in Emmerdale but it's hella entertaining and I hope she takes Robron down when they come for her too.

She didn't used to harbour contempt for Andy though, when she "loved" him those things were endearing to her.

This is purely speculation though |

she use to sneer at him with Robert though when Robert use to crack jokes at his expense their whole relationship was a dumb contrived plot device that was purely to facilitate kelvins exit. I'm glad they have changed her though because they made her look pathetic and desperate when she was with Andy although I hope they reign it in a bit as she is very ott right now.

I've actually been thinking Lachlan would become suicidal as well. Chrissie has turned into a Bond villain (which I'm enjoying)and he's obviously going to find out about her having Donny killed which along with the guilt of covering up the shooting will push him over the edge. And who's he going to turn to? Things are still awkward with Lawrence, his dad's dead, Belle 's gone loopy and Rob obviously doesn't care.

why would have ever turned to Robert anyway, even when he was with chrissie they were barely interested in each other. I wonder if Lachlan causes the October stunt, they're building an adventure park at home farm I'm guessing Lachlan snaps at its unveiling and ends up killing him sled and taking someon with him and then chrissie will go after Robert for her revenge.

Also Chrissie has no redeeming features about her, she is plain nasty and selfish. Kim Tate was witty and likeable despite her antics. There is a huge difference between the two

Everything Robert did has left some serious mental scars that you don't easily get over. Andy's cheating obviously brought a lot of unresolved issues to the surface again and have caused her to become the superbitch she is today.
I'm loving evil Chrissie although I do hope they make her less ott, getting rid of her villainous new look would be a start. Hopefully the writers begin to delve into what has made her snap, hopefully some intense chrissie robert scenes ahead |
