Chromecast?
I use the bt sports app on my phone and cast to cc which is brilliant.
I was wondering though. Is it actually streaming it from my phone or does my phone pass the link to cc which then gets the feed itself? |

In many Chromecast aware apps when you cast something you are sending a link to the source and the Chromecast device then takes over streaming it. Other apps send video/audio data to the Chromecast device and continue to stream from the app. One way to check would be to cast something then kill the app on the phone and turn the phone off completely (usually a long press on the on-off button then tap on the turn off option if offered). If you don't lose whatever you cast with the app and phone not running at all then you can safely say the app is casting a link and the Chromecast is taking over, |

I'll try that after footie though am thinking it checks with phone as uses it as a remote. Was mainly curious as picture is hd quality and I can do anything else on phone no problem while it's on. Also battery isn't really getting hammered.
I'll try that though |
