I don't think she's completely horrendous as some people make out. But she's nor great and compared to Kim Medcalf she's ridiculous. I think the recast would work again but would probably need to be years down the line.
Daniella has also proves herself to be unreliable anyway after holding up filming on her last stint which she denied on twitter but it turned out to be true !

This. With Ronnie and Roxy leaving its time to focus on the next generation. Courtney, Mark, Ben and Louise should be the focus of the next few years to really establish them as the Mitchell's of the future which they are, The show will be relying on these four to carry on the Mitchell name once Phil is no more.

But then they also said she'd been 'axed' when she was only ever meant to be there for four episodes. I wouldn't take anything other than the date at face value in these rags.

I'd love to see Kim Medcalf back as Sam. She was brilliant.

I didn't watch when Kim was Sam so for me Danniella is Sam Mitchell. She's dreadful though with the gurning and muttering and doesn't need to return. I think her door has slammed anyway seeing as she abandoned her son and admitted she never wanted him. Why would she come back for him after she was such a horrendous mother?

I'd love to see Kim back as Sam, Why the hell they ever bought awful Daniella back boggles the mind

I think SOC was around when Kim Medcalf played Sam so you never know...
