Erm correction she dated Gary for well over a year! He's the only Geordie shore guy she dated and he mugged her off too with Charlotte!
Whoever she's been with in the past - or the ragmags say she's been with - she's still a human being with feelings and he still made promises to her and then cheated on her within the space of 2 weeks on the show.

I get that people like Bear as a housemate, that's their choice - but surely even their own moral code says cheating is not a good, decent thing. Even if they like him as a housemate, surely they can admit he's a very flawed human being.
I find the level of blind fanaticism gets worse each series, where people can't even admit their 'fave' has flaws.
