Parry is not the best actor but he's not the worst. He's adeqaute. As for Harry, he really is a character I can leave or take. I don't dislike him but I can't warm to him either. I do think starry still has thier fans but not half as much as they used to. The impression I'm getting is that the novelty has worn off with these two and with the new upcoming custody plot, it's only going to get worse. Who wants to watch a 18 year old try and help his partner get access to his two small children? Talk about boring. Custody stories generally don't go down well anyway but Ste and Harry, I ca see it being totally soul sucking. I think of all the upcoming HO stories, this one is the weakest.

I'm not biased when I say the plot with James and his father is by far the strongest. 😀

The worst thing was how Emmerdale stuck Robron with Liv (Aaron't little sis) literally 2 minutes after they got back together, in the same episode they reunited.

I'd love to see jealous James. We've never really seen that. Scott doesn't count because he was hardly competition and back then James was fighting his attraction and masked it as it being a chase. Now, the feelings are very real. There is a bond, a friendship, a real closeness. Even if James pushes JP away again, I think it will kill him to see John Paul so much as have his head turned by someone else.

There's nothing better than watching a closed-off, emotionally repressed character falling for someone against their will and having to fight their feelings until they eventually give in because they love them too much. It's yummy in my tummy and I'll eat that trope up every damn day of the week and ask for seconds!

I read (on FB, twitter, tumblr, etc) a lot of praise for the James/Mac storyline, for James as a character/actor, and for James/JP as a pairing...so I hope more people will join this thread in the future!!

I agree. Its an odd, unrealistic and unbelievable story for HO to do. I dont see how any court in the land would give the kids to those 2 over Amy and Ryan. I mean come on. It's unrealistic as a story. If they wanted they could have done a story about Ste fearing he's losing his kids and trying to show them he's changed but by getting a job, giving them a stable home and being in a believable relationship. Instead we get this aeful custody story. Its an unbelievable story. Harry even appears to dislike Leah and Lucas most of the time. He seems to resent them taking his preciuos Ste time. He's nowhere near ready to be a step dad but for some idiotic reason tptb think this will be a good path for Starry to take.
