It's absolutely nonsensical to keep a storyline off screen for so long. So much hate.

Kieron is absolutely a good actor. Even when I'm fed up with Ste and want him to go away, he still manages to pull my heart strings. He made me tear up during the three-hander.
But because he wants to be challenged continuously he requires that they throw disaster after disaster at Ste, he sees "normal" Ste and "has-his-life-together" Ste as the kiss of death for the character, while it's the opposite. It's the constant rock-bottoming without any character development that is killing the character. If he needs constant excitement (at the detriment of his colleagues, by the way, who don't receive half the storylines and screen times he gets) and far-fetched storylines in order not to get bored, maybe staying on a soap opera for 10 years is not the best idea. Leave, go out there and do different roles, instead of running a once beloved character to the ground. |

However in terms of JP and James's relationship progressing, I can't see that until November time if that. I'm desperate to see jealous James. |

Nice attempt to bring the thread back to topic!!
![]() Unfortunately, with our boys off screen and no spoilers, there isn't much to say that we haven't already abundantly said! I hope this drought isn't very long... |

JP is in the wedding story line and I assume James would have some involvement with Ellie (though after mac banned him from the family cant be sure)

I'm now getting Kieron/Ste fans on my Twitter feed telling me to stop stating MY opinion as fact You can't say anything against either Starry or you get abuse from their fans. I didn't say anything to bad but its wrong apparently and because Kieron replied they saw it as otherwise it was just a convo between me and other twitter user. It's MY opinion but because it doesn't sit with the Starry fans ( where there in a vast minority) don't let me have it. I feel because they know Starry is no longer flavour of the month and most people detest them they get defensive. |

Yeah, but as supporting characters in those storylines they are unlikely to interact, because as we know HO is incapable of intertwining storylines.

I wiah I coukd like Ste again as be used to be one of my faves and I was actually looking forward to McHay but that was the end for me. The mental abuse he put JP through was the final straw.

I definitely want to see them interacting as friends. I don't think they're going to fall into a relationship yet (at least I hope not). It would be a waste not to have some scenes of them just talking like regular people do. Everyone in the village (even his own brothers and sister) has a very narrow idea of who James is so I'm interested in how JP is going to react to other people's perceptions of James. It's like that age old 'nobody knows him like I do' bad boy thing, only the cliche is actually true for once. It's a really interesting conundrum for JP. James has been an ass to him so he probably hasn't 100% forgiven him, but he also cares about him and gets why he acts like he does. I really want JP to fight James' corner, but also give James shit for how he's acted. One of the reasons I love JP and James is because of how it sparked something in JP. There's nothing worse than when he's being passive and acting like a doormat
![]() James can be sweet we have seem that with all the siblings, he seems naturally closest to Ellie, and is way more moral than his mum, often saying shes going too far |

Hello!
I can see that others, like me, are suffering from severe James and JP withdrawals. Cannot believe that I actually sat through that ridiculous 'murder evening'. Dreadful. My 10 year old (who really should NOT be watching HO) thinks that Marnie is a 'terrible actress'! |

Hey, just spotted this thread!!
I am interested in McNight as a couple & regarding the Finn question I would like to see him return to the show. Last time we saw Finn, he made out he was remorseful. Would be interesting to see him back in the show, coming back not long after Diane & the impact his reappearance would have in the village. |

I love that James is dominating the favourite LGBTQ vote on the episode thread. 😀 It shows that he's popular, not just with fans, but also floating viewers. Quote:
