I know. Can not wait! It'll just be nice to have a full week of James and John Paul. It's been a long time since we've had that.

He was looking gorgeous.

Once again. My heart broke for him, especially when Nathan said 'family only'.

Mac is truely horrid. He really does detest his son.

Mac actually told James he wished he hadn't been born in front of Marnie and she said nothing! Holy hell that's astonishing.

I think this once again confirms that Marnie knows full well about the abuse James endured. She didn't even blink when Mac said it, which suggest that she's heard comments like this before. She is a nasty horrible woman.

Hopefully they'll have Nathan question what he heard as well seeing as he was right there when it was said..

Poor James good to him back though!! Very smug looking Mac there!

she 100% knows, she knew he was injured after mac beat him but never wanted him to say, because she would have to admit to knowing and couldnt use him to soak up Macs anger, while Mac is angry at him he ignores what she does

Nathan is not a nice guy currently
I do think Nathan is a good guy deep down but I don't think he considers James as a brother. He doesn't have a relationship with him like he does Alfie. Also he worships his dad. It's easier to cast out James than even consider that his dad is capable of such a thing.

I hope in the end this makes James and Nathan stronger but Nathan does need to let James in as much as the other way around.

No matter what happens now and if they try to redeem her, there's no coming back for Marnie. James' life has been ruined by the abuse and she let it happen, that's unforgivable!

I always thought Mac was just putting on a front when he told James Marnie would never choose James over him, but jeez it might actually be true!

I'm so glad James has John Paul 100% on his side - even if he does't know how to deal with it and makes some silly mistakes!

I just cant understand how anyone can treat a family member like that, more so when he raised them, changed nappies etc, lost his childhood to look after them

I know what you mean. I think for Nathan it comes down to who he remembers more and who is loyalties lie with. I can imagine Nathan being very young when James left and then not seeing him for years at a time. Where as his dad has always been there. Not that this makes Nathan's treatment of James in any way exceptable but I do think for most part, James is pretty much a stranger to Nathan. However the 'family only' comment was harsh. My heart breaks for James every time.

Agreed. I can't see him being angry for more than two days. Plus Marnie has a way of manipulating James and pulling out the sympathy card to appear like a victim herself.

Who would have thought that when he arrived on our screens 10 months ago he would be a fav that we all want to hug, rather than the selfish annoying jerk he appeared to be

I'd love James to have a scene with Nana.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but to be honest I'm dreading it... just reading the comments here is making me sick. Poor James, I'm not really in the mood to see watch him be treated like that by the two sociopaths of his parents.

Honestly, I did.

I don't want to sound arrogant about my own predictions but some times you know if a character is to be a hit based on thier first scene. You just get a feel for them and you get an idea of where they're gonna be taken. I was sold on James from his inception. From the minute he walked into that cafe and stole that kids cookie, I knew he was going to be one of the suave, machavillian villains with class who would actually go on a journey and soften over time. His scenes with his family and mum saw straight away the kind of man he was and the kind of potential that could be tapped into. I got this with Dennis rickman in eastenders if anyone remembers him or watched the show back then. From his first episode, he was seen to be a hot headed, womaniser, cocky sarcastic but it was obvious he was meant to be a anti -hero who we'd all become engrossed by.
