From the minute he walked into that cafe and stole that kids cookie, I knew he was going to be one of the suave, machavillian villains with class who would actually go on a journey and soften over time. His scenes with his family and mum saw straight away the kind of man he was and the kind of potential that could be tapped into. I got this with Dennis rickman in eastenders if anyone remembers him or watched the show back then. From his first episode, he was seen to be a hot headed, womaniser, cocky sarcastic but it was obvious he was meant to be a anti -hero who we'd all become engrossed by.”

I think because I dislike Morticia so much I found him hard to watch as he was in scenes with her and I couldnt wait for her to get off the screen, she chews the Scenery so much im shocked there is any left on set

I always knew Marnie would be dislikable. She has been pulling James's strings from the off. Plus the actress who plays her is awful.

Argh, tonight's HO, or even just the James scenes, are still nowhere to be found. I wonder how long I'll have to wait. It's so frustrating every time.

I wish Mac was played by a better actor, though.

Nathan can f*** off with his "family only" thing. I hope he will at least have the decency to feel guilty once the whole truth is exposed.

I think a lot of uploaders work from the Channel 4 schedule, so they'll probably go up Monday.

*dies inside*

For Robron there are 3-4 channels with the scenes already up less than an hour (sometimes even faster) after the end of the episode. We need to build up a McNight fanbase, dammit!

First thing is to give us some great scenes. Robert diving back into the lake to retrieve the ring was so daft but so romantic. Ed know they have something special and will run with it for the fans. HO seem to pile on the angst more than giving fans some real enjoyment.

By the way I wasn't surprised to see Joe is leaving. Those spoilers did seem pretty conclusive. It also explains James being supportive of Joanne and JP will be of Mercy. That girl has no luck at all!

Now if only Freddie would go as well...

Seen the episode. Ah, James, I had missed you!! Poor guy, what a crappy family. Even Neeta laying into him...

Major points to Lisa for being nice to James, anyone who does that is alright in my book. High five, Lisa!!

I hope whatever James does to push JP away doesn't work, cos James really needs someone who cares about him...since no one in his life ever did, clearly. Poor guy.

I think, as it stands, John Paul is the only one who loves James unconditionally. Even his own mother has some sort of agenda.

I think right now James needs JP, not only because they have this incredible chemistry but also because JP will stand by him no matter what. James needs that kind of loyalty and stability and John Paul can be the one to give it to him, if james just let him.

I had to comment on how much I loved James in the latest episode, even if it still was too brief for me! It was great to see him stand up for himself, especially the little dig he made about his dad not being clever his whole life. Mac is coming across more psychotic every time I see him, I also think that it was the implication that neither Marnie or Neeta heard Mac say that James shouldn't have been born, I think Neeta would have said something, even if Marnie wouldn't. Thought it great that Lisa showed kindness to James, as she obviously understands where he's coming from, though a little odd as they've never really interacted up to this point, still, it will lead Nathan to hear James side of the story, I hope he tells him something!

At a guess here, going by the very vague spoilers, I think James is going to tell Nathan what happened in his childhood, which will lead nathan to ask Marnie if Mac ever had to disipline them. I can't see James being at the funeral and he's going to be totally shunned out. 😥

That seems a bit silly. The trauma of being hit would stay with you do I don't think Mac did that. Jamnes already said he was the only one. The only reason to have Nathan ask Marnie is for the audience to see that she knew Mac had hit James. She probably made it clear to Mac to never hit the other children. This is the betrayal that will really hurt James.

Good to have this going again even if it's just for a week and probably dissappear for a bit. Poor James his face when Nathan said family only . Looking forward to this scenes together however it plays out.
Wonder if Nathan start to wonder till marine denies that Mac ever disaplined them and probably go back to seeing James as a liar sort of thing/trying to cause trouble..hope not poor guy

Hopefully if spending more time with joanne they've made her a bit how she was to start with and less obsessive! Especially as jobs leaving no one to obesses over

Roll on.monday

Just read on a thread
Spoiler
that the actress playing Joanne had her leaving party last night. Doesn't surprise me as without Joe there really isn't anywhere for the character to go.

I hope so, James doesnt really need her

I'm pleased. She drags James down.

I'm pleased. While I don't hate Joanne, she's not someone I am particularly invested in either. The character was always going to have a short shelf life anyway. I do think James would benefit from developing a friendship with someone who is in many ways opposite to him. I find those dynamics generally work better. Where as Mr and Mrs manipulative does become boring after a while.
