I have a random question that just came to me, its probably got an easy answer: What did Mac mean when he said to James after he'd found out that James was taking him to court that it was the second time he had done it to him?

So...are James and John Paul a couple then?

Did I miss them getting together or did they get together off screen?

I don't bloody believe this, they're together! More than that, it looks like they're living together and it all happened offscreen. Bloody hell!

If they are, they got together off screen.

F*** this show, I knew they were going to screw up this potentially great storyline.

Looks like James and John Paul got together off screen. How annoying!

Ignoring all the issues between them (like James dumping JP after his accident..how can JP trust him enough to be with him already?).

And living together already? That's beyond ridiculous, even for HO. There, all chances of having a slowly-built, character-driven, well-developed storyline gone down the toilet. And it makes me think that the storyline/pairing is unlikely to be very long-term. The show isn't even interested in creating some built up, this is no romance at all.

I think I know why they've done this. They want to focus the writing for James on this Mac storyline, not relationship drama. The writers are incapable of balancing the historic abuse storyline with developing JP/James organically, so they've resolved one to focus on the other.

I guarantee that once the Mac storyline finishes, they'll start up McNight relationship drama. This is unbelievable!

Urghhhhhhh!! All rushed been nice to see the build up!! Hopefully they don't completely mess this up..so is John Paul going to speak to Nathan hmmmm.

My interest in this storyline has just plummeted. My fault, I should have known from the start...the current writing team (and the stupid EP) are incapable of writing decent stuff for longer than one episode., and don't know what realism and logic are. Why did I expect things to miraculously change for this particular storyline...

I'm very angry. I was already in a bad moos, and this has been the cherry on top.

Pretty much this. Except they have no problem shoving starry build up down our throats. Ugh

Maybe John Paul will end things tomorrow after James brings another man home because he knows James isn't in a good place to be having a relationship but will be with him as a friend. I'd like that.

I could get behind them being together now without much build-up drama, but LIVING TOGETHER? That's utterly beyond the pale.

Oooh great scene with JP and Nathan. James is going to be raging!

It's typical Kirkwood. I should have know better.

I do think they planned to develope JP and James but changed course half way though and decide to run with the abuse plot.

It's beyond frustrating.

I don't care if JP takes and leaves him 2000 times.... they are not addressing the obvious problems and matters that need to be addressed and discussed for them to even start trying to be a couple.

As always, it's all plot-driven, and this storyline has lost all credibility. I can't take it seriously anymore.

How difficult is to not completely suck at writing and plotting storylines, when your job is to write for a show?? Good god, why isn't there anything decent, ever.

Greg has said there will be continuing focus on JP through this abuse storyline, and Greg had just been filming with James when he filmed the AAA, and we know they film months in advance. I really don't think this relationship is going anywhere.

It would be great if HO could actually develop a committed JP relationship, I'd love that to be with James so I'm not giving up yet.

JP has a key. I mean wtf?

I am actually willing for JP to end it this week because I want a proper build up, not getting together through childhood trauma off screen. 🙄

Uh ohhhh!! They probably have done it so can create drama with them splitting up this week then moving on from there.
Such annoying writing!

Yeah I'm starting to think JP will end things tomorrow/Friday, cue James working hard to change and win him back.

I HATE not being shown how things go from A to C. Why they would skip the actual getting together (or getting back together) is beyond me. So insulting...it betrays a total disinterest in the characters and their relationship, and a total focus on the plot. That they can't do both things together is beyond sad, they should just change profession, because they suck at the one they have.

I wonder if the writers think they're picking up organically from when JP broke up with Scott (ostensibly to be with James), but then the whole blindness thing got in the way. But it really doesn't come across that way in the writing, no matter their intention.

I genuinely can't tell if they're together or not? And I'm not sure that they're living together either? JP had keys but he mentioned James' phone not working, as if that was why he popped round. They had like 3 minutes of screen time so it was hard to glean anything from it at all. The episode in general was a complete mess

Also, they are still writing JP as as much of a doormat as when he was with Ste, nothing changed. Always the same lack of self-worth, and wimpiness.

Right now the black hole is looking more attractive... black hole, I underestimated you, I'm sorry!

James reached out to caress JP's face when he came in, that's what gave them away as a couple imo.

I really did like that last scene with JP and Nathan tho.

I think I need to rewatch to fully work out how I feel.
