James is so sweet with Miss Crazy Pants, what does she give him in the relationship?

Nothing a all. Their friendship (which I still don't buy) is all about her.

Which I find odd, he clearly needs something from it and yet its always about her
James isnt think type to do something from the goodness of his heart

It's probably because she's playing the part in his life that his mother played. It's not healthy but it's familiar to him so he'll seek out that caretaker role.

Ugggggghhhh. I saw on jamesnightingales tumblr page that it looks like James is going to be Ste and Harry's lawyer in their custody battle, so my fears about the "enemy" spoiler are probably true.

Gross.

Spoiler

Ugh, if this is James I swear to god...
This one. I had a feeling in my guts it was James.

Don't like this one bit, but if it buries Jarry forever then I'm all for it!

Ugh James being ste's lawyer. I'd have preferred it if he were Ameh's. 😑. But the writers can't have poor ste without the best legal representation can they? 🙄

First how can they afford him. We know JP asks him to help get Diego out. I wonder if he also asks him to help Ste. It did seem odd he didn't show up when JP was blind. Perhaps they will have them interact. I can't see any other reason why he would help as he doesn't want Harry and if he keeps doing things for free he will have no money.

It irritates me that they are involving James in the starry crap. However, I hope they at least keep his involvement as professional as possible, and that there's no sleazy flirting with Harry or anything like that.

They're together again.

Can they PLEASE make up their minds? Is this a 'will they-won't they' storyline or a 'settled relationship with ups and downs' storyline?

Not surprising. I don't even care anymore, to be honest. They are doing nothing of what I want with this relationship, quite the opposite infact.

So annoying there is no in-between scenes of relationship build up and all but scenes were sweet

What don't get and prob either being daft or picky is why James would go to the dog when pretty much been told to stay away/ Mac owns it..or he just don't care. Or the writer doesn't care.

Either way nice for them to have scenes

He is!
The fact that the characters/actors are so good together is the storyline's saving grace, because for whatever reason, the writers couldn't be arsed actually writing one

Indeed, there's no build up, no organic development, no romance (not the way I intend it). At least the actors are trying, I guess.

This is where I am at. I'm invested in James and his development as a character. I think he's absolutely fascinating. However I've gone from rooting for McNight to now feeling indifferent towards them. I really don't care how they develope them now, which is a shame. There has just been so many inconsistencies in thier development and the writers clearly don't care enough to develop them as a proper love story. From what I see they care about each other and I do think James loves him but it's hasn't bee portrayed deep enough for me to care now.

I feel like I'm now mostly in it for James now.

Yep, their chemistry is too strong! I enjoyed posh James ribbing JP for his chavvy family. I really like that he loves him enough to do that and there's no hint of him looking down his nose at them.

They wasted all the potential this pairing had.

After the great couple of episodes before and after JP's accident, people were really interested in McNight and a lot of support for the pairing had been gained very quickly. Now nobody seems to care about them one way or the other, the buzz has completely fizzled out, and it's all down to how they have been writing them, and to the scarce screen time.

Yep. The last time the pair wer truely interesting was when JP went blind. They've lost thier momentum since and that's down to how they've been developed or you can say not developed. I find it very difficult to invest in a couple who's progression has been mostly off screen. It appears that the writers are incapable of developing a child abuse story alongside a 'will they won't they' plot. Don't get me wrong, I'm still happy to see them in scenes together and tonight they were sweet but they've lost thier buzz.

Indeed. So disappointing. I'm sad about the whole thing, but I guess it was my own fault for hoping that HO would stop sucking long enough to actually do this couple justice. I still like them, of course, but I have lost any delusion that this will be a standout relationship, quality-wise or popularity-wise.

I still have some hope that they'll get James' abuse storyline right.

That's the thing other couples/relationships you see grow on screen and gets built up whereas this one they've rushed it so much. Maybe because of the abuse plot but even so it's so annoying!

omg I couldn't stop smiling whenever I saw James and JP together today, I could watch them forever. There's so much chemistry, you can tell the actors get on, its nice to see JP in an adult relationship where he can actually have a conversation and have fun- angst for me isn't always interesting. I loved James messing around with him, he has such a playful sense of humour. and I loved how happy JP was that James made the effort to get on with his family and accept Goldie. His face and the kiss on the cheek was priceless. I'm guessing there may be a fall out in the future coming up when JP discovers James isn't having therapy. But, even though I can't keep up with whether they are together or not or getting on or not (so confusing), I still loved watching them interact.

This. As annoyed as I am with the writing at times, I love both JP and James so much that I enjoy their scenes together anyway!
