I found the conversation about their interests and James' experience with his best friend in school to be really sweet. Total couple moment!

I said it before. James Sutton really looks like he is enjoying himself. I can't explain how glad I am they got him away from Ste and Orange. The times we have seen the latter show he can't be that devastated.

just watched the C4 episode. I have good points and bad points. Good points: James is the most adorable man alive. I LOVED how he just snubbed his dad when he asked him the favour and I love how GLEEFUL he looked when he found out his mum had taken his dad's money from the pub. love love love. and loved the convo between James and JP; a couple in Hollyoaks getting on and having fun? who knew!
Bad points: Mac is obviously a pyscho, asking James for the favour. He has obviously forgotten that he told James to stay away from him and the family as he allows him to stay in the pub and chat openly to Marnie. oh, and that he told him he should have never been born. Also, how on this earth can James and JP be sat there chatting in the pub while the man who broke James's ribs is merrily working behind them. wtf?

I have to agree here. I wouldnt say there was a time where I disliked JP but I did become a bit tired of him and that was purely because of the stories and characters he was involved with. I never got 'it' when he was paired up with Doug or ste and that wasn't to do with them not measuring up to Craig. I just felt they were sucking the soul out of JP, especially ste. However with James, it's like John Paul has come alive. He's glowing and more content. I know James and greg get on really well off screen but it does show onscreen too. John Paul now is more playful, flirty and doesn't seem in anyway lesser. I know James has his faults but he does treat JP as his equal and there a mutual affection there and it shines on screen. Even with JP's happier moments wIth ste snd doug, I was never really sold.

Was tonight any good, McNight-wise?

I read on the daily forum a poster seeming to complain that they wanted romantic scenes between James and JP. I think the scene they were referring to was James saying are you trying to seduce me into helping Diego get out and JP saying yes and off they go back to his flat to hash out the terms. I actually think it suits them. JP said it was electric between them so the physical side is important. JP said to Nancy that it wasn't about sex when he and Craig were found out. It doesn't demean this relationship it is just different. I think it is more lighthearted and JP really needs that after being torn down by Ste.

The day before it says JP gets the wrong end of the stick when James makes him an offer. Then it says has James thought it through. Perhaps JP wrongly thinks he wants him to move in. Then James thinks it might not be a bad idea. This is where the therapy comes into it as I don't think he has lived with anyone before. I just don't think the emotional minefield is going to disappear and JP might come across hidden secrets lying about.

Damn, I was out tonight and missed the E4 showing. Sounds like they had some cute moments.

I think I may be right about James asking JP to move in. Posters often comment about the TARDIS that is the McQueen house. Goldie will have her 2 sons joining her. I should think anyone would not want to live with that lot!

JP did look a bit perturbed when James said to Myra that they would have to something underhand to get Diego out. It reminds me of when JP was going to persuade Peri to lie. It would be out of character off suddenly JP was alright with it and it could lead to conflict for the pair.

It would be nice to be sure, are they together or not, seems a bit vague, they hang around, but dont kiss, so are they just friends currently? Friends with benefits? Dating? living together? married?

Just boyfriends. As I said I think James is going to ask him to live with him.

I would just like to be able to see the episode! This having to wait forever and always being behind is seriously making me lose the will to follow the storyline. Maybe I was spoiled with all the storylines I have followed before during the years, never had any problems with any of them.

I'm going to launch an appeal on tumblr in the hope that someone starts uploading things at E4 pace. I know it's probably useless to go on tumblr, but I don't have twitter.

And I just wish this E4/C4 thing would stop, just air the show on one channel at one time like all other programs...it's so much more convenient and less confusing!

It's even worse because no one is talking about the storyline anywhere, so I can't even make up for the waiting with reading comments or watching gifs, so that adds to my frustration.

Oh god ste. Yeah I can hear his annoying voice already. At a guess we will set clips on the osbourne disappearance, holly/Ellie/nick, cleo/Nathan, ste/Ryan/Amy, goldie and sons crap. As for the nightingales, I'm hopeful we'll see Marnies mum and some James/Mac.

It's sad how irrelevant he has become as a character. He used to be big back in the day.

Hopefully it is the end of the Sienna and Cameron storylines. They are also bringing back the Ellie thing. Trouble is because they have left it for so long the poor bloke probably doesn't remember much about sleeping with her because they were both drunk.

Once these are out the way they can start proper stories for James and JP. I forgot old Ste is still crying over his children.

A good show would know how to juggle all its storylines and characters in a cohesive way, but HO - the land of extreme block storytelling - is sadly incapable.

I think we all guessed that Ryan would be a bad guy so precious flower Ste gets the kids. I mean Stes an angel who's never done anything wrong 😪 so of course he'll get the kids. I feel.it's Bern obvious from the start that he will get them as HO star can't be seen to.lose out now can he? It's ridiculous imo. I'm fed up with Ste victim playing and the fact the he always come out smelling of roses. Any deserves the kids regardless of Ryan's behaviour but its obvious he'll be the bad guy so Ste wins. Then him and Idiot Harry can live happily ever after.😠👎💤

Ste sucks. This show sucks, nothing new. I got my hopes high when it seemed (for a second) that they woulf get James's story and McNight right, but they soon knocked me back down!! Hahaha
