They are interesting because they are different. JP is flawed like all people, but fundamentally a good and kind person. James, however, is ruthless and cunning, and emotionally repressed. Their personalities and moral values are going to clash, and that should be interesting to watch. I can already envision JP being disgusted/angry by some of the stuff James does, leading to issues between them.

I hope the writers have them meet in the middle, in shades of grey, toning down James's villanous side (without completely getting rid of it) and making JP a little less white.


And Ste??? He is still JP's husband, and in theory his best friend...oh, wait. Sorry, I forgot we were talking about Ste, the most selfish and self-involved person in the world. Nevermind.

Rewatching the whole McNight storyline so far is not such an easy task, with Scott's constant presence ruining it all. Ugh.

It's just poor continuity really. James didn't even make a snide comment to Freddie yesterday for what he did to Ellie either.

HO seems to move plot from plot week to week without any reference to past going ons. It's frustrating.


Lol. I was watching some really early James stuff the other day too and it made me laugh how James had to pretend to be interested in Scott. His face said it all. He could hardly stomach him.

James doesn't play nice though. It's just bad continuity. James being James would have said something but it all goes back to block storytelling. The reason why Nancy is not visiting John Paul is because she is busy with the warren story. HO don't care if she looks like a careless friend anymore than Mercedes looking like a bad sister.

I think HO will eventually but they'll have to bring in some kind of secondary character, a plot device because no one in the village would be suitable. I'm just glad he and John Paul are finally over.

Just got the VPN so watched that video. I hadn't watched HO for a while. Thank God I missed the JP Scott romance. As they plan things way in advance I honestly think Scott was a holding device while James was in bedded. They usually do 6 month storylines and James's on my arrived in January. McHay only happened because they were literally the only gays in the village. I hated that too because they also had nothing in common. Stendan worked because they were both bad boys.

They had nothing in common. He referred to JPs tablet as an electronic book thingy that he couldn't make much use of because he was blind! He is a complete idiot. Not only that her said at one point to JP about their sex not being very good as opposed to James and him being 'electric.' He knew JP slept with James before and even now he would have overlook ed it. I don't find him funny at all but irritating just as James does. I wish we had spoilers telling us how this will pan out.

There was no need to hook up JP with Scott, none whatsover. It's just that HO is a stupid, crappy show that can never change its MO. JP could have easily been kept single during these last few months (the thing with Scott started 3 months ago), he already had the Sally storyline.

And then he could have easily gotten involved with James all the same, a one-off, then seeking him for legal advise, developing feelings, the accident... the rest wouldn't have changed. There was no need for the silly love triangle, especially with a partner as awful/ridiculous/unlikable/hated as Scott.

I wonder why there must always be cheating and triangle involved when a relationship starts, with this show. It also damages the characters.... JP doesn't come out smelling like roses from his dalliance with Scott. Sigh. Stupid show.

It appears that JP's scenes from last night still aren't uploaded anywhere I hate when this happens. I hate having to watch a storyline never knowing if and when the next part is going to be available. What if at some point no one is uploading a storyline anymore?? This is stressful. I want to move to England (but now with the Brexit it's practically impossible hahaha).

Yeah, I know that tumblr. It's my go-to place for anything JP. Which is why I'm disappointed they haven't uploaded the latest episode yet, usually they are super-reliable and fast.

(I'm not criticizing, by the way. I'm extremely grateful for the people who take the time to make these storylines available for us non-Brits. However, waiting sucks, and lately it's becoming more and more difficult to keep up with all my soap storylines, and it's frustrating).

well the patrick story line needs to be closed so hopefully we can get onto new ones, plus they may not have been sure if Scott and JP would be the fave ship so left time to keep options open

Yeah I think that's it. It's inevitable Patrickgate will dominate our screens the next few weeks because the story is coming to a close. I understand and accept that... so long as our boys get their turn.



Agreed though I think the story was more to give Scott something to do rather than JP. John Paul is a well integrated character and giving him a story wouldn't be difficult. Plus he's a Mcqueen, giving him scope from the off. Scott is merely a secondary character, a plot-device for other characters, the comic relief. He really struggles to stand alone as a character.


Oh I know. I think there is plenty of potential to be had with Marnie and James's past being the overriding factors in their relationship without bringing in a third wheel. At least it's over now so fingers crossed, they start to develop their relationship more naturally.
