In what way are they different? Different in a way that means they should be held to equally different standards of behaviour?
Hormones, mainly, I just know that we are different, not better or worse, just different.....

Behaviour, now that is a different issue......

Men and women like to frolic.........but women usually are in control of the 'reins'......

‘The reins’ – what is this supposed to mean? Do you think all women are dominants in bed or do you mean women control how quickly the relationship progresses towards sex?

I don't mean anyone is 'dominant', just that women can enjoy the ' romance' and skip the sex.

I don't think you've really thought this through. What is being questioned here is whether women ought to be held to a different set of moral standards than men, and what those differences might be, what is the rationale, that sort of thing. Reading through some of your posts in this thread I feel compelled to say, with all due respect, get with the program! Unless you can justify (to yourself) your attitude you're doing a tremendous disservice to women.

More 1950s stereotypes from you!

Many modern women scoff at cheesy romance and want to skip straight to the good bit.

Men and Women are different, that is all I am saying......and trying to 'pretend' they are the same is misguided.
What a load of bull.

How's it "sexist" when 99% of the venom toward Chloe comes from other women?

p.s. Socha_Healy : Are you saying men and women are not different?!
Lol! What!?

Women can be guilty of sexism against other women.

Women should not be held to a different standard when it comes to sexual behaviour. They're not different in that regard.

Also can you back up your claim that 99% of women were the ones who made negative comments about chloe.

That's the way it rolls on here.

I'm mad at my own ass that I can't stay away from here during BB season.
So much this.

You mean the forum that was once full of people blaming a female housemate for having her robe pulled open by a male housemate, is still full of sexist idiots?

That's why I don't really post here anymore. The dangerous attitude that permeates this forum scares me.

Haha, I actually saw a comment on here the other day in regards to that incident 'what did she expect when she flirts constantly with a drunk man' (paraphrasing a bit there but that was pretty much it) I was going to comment but thought to myself I'd probably be more productive head butting a wall! I tried to fight the good fight when everyone was blaming Chloe for Heavy d's treatment of her, but it has taught me that equality is a losing battle and still has a long way to go. I've not bothered with this forum for a few years but came back this year for BB and the blatant sexism has genuinely shocked me, I honestly can't remember it being so bad!

Yep, I'm not sure what's happened in recent years to make posters view women the way they do, but it's scary.

And sadly as a previous poster has said, a lot of it is other women.

Who needs men to repress us, we do a damn fine job doing it to each other!

It is true that Male nudity is treated differently to Female nudity (not just on DS!) - imagine if that "window cleaner" had been female instead - whereas a male stripper is almost always seen as a bit of a giggle, harmless fun by most a female one always becomes a target for derogatory comments and abusive name calling.

I always find the 'flaunting' males just as sad as I find the 'flaunting' females....

Nobody said that? Men can get naked on TV if they want to; women can get naked on TV if they want to. Men and women can keep their clothes on on TV if they want to, too. Nobody said anybody should get naked.

Unfortunately people look at men and women getting naked very differently, when there isn't a difference is there (beyond the fact that men and women have different bodies, obviously!)?

I haven't seen much uproar about Lewis flaunting his bollocks around - several times. Personally I didn't fancy seeing them whilst eating my dinner , but I wasn't outraged.

The reasons why people do things are always what interests me, that used to be why we watched Big Brother in the first place.
Yep. IT doesn't offend me when people get naked at all, it's their bodies & I can choose to look away or switch over.
One of the things that drew me to BB in the first place was the psychological aspect, sadly this series has been a wee bit dark.

[devil's advocate] Are you sure that in at least some instances the person concerned is not simply objecting to the person in question's behaviour regardless of gender?

In the Chloe & HeavyD situation - yes I 'blamed' Chloe in that she did not behave that well, or kindly imo; nor did Bear; HeavyD then behaved badly in turn.

In a hypothetical situation with a Chloe who liked Bear, being turned down by a Bear who proceeded very quickly to respond to a move made by a Marnie - I'd blame the same behaviour in the same roles to the same degree.
