Funny how he has to mention Strictly to promote X factor though.
Hasn't Strictly been on the top of ratings vs X factor all the time?

According to Louis, the general public fell over themselves to discuss acts like Louisa Johnson and Reggie & Bollie, though! Ratings schmatings.

Series for Series believe it's been :

2004 : Strictly
2005 : X Factor
2006 - 2007 : Strictly
2008 - 2011 : X Factor
2012 - : Strictly

Yes, he is a bit like Trump, nothing positive to say about himself so tries hard to be negative on the strong competition.

Agree,

On the X Factor forum they are now discussing how to try to prop up XF ratings, suggesting it " needs" Corrie on Sunday just before it, so the lame XF gets some viewers?

SCD doesn't require any other show before it to get good ratings!

Can I say that I've never heard of any of them?

He isn't wrong. Strictly has no impact on social media.I haven't heard about any of last year's contestants in the last year. Who even won again? In contrast XF's Louisa Johnson has had a massive UK hit with Clean Bandit

For the first time in years, Simon hasn't bothered mentioning Strictly and rightly so. I prefer the X factor but it's clear Strictly is more popular with live viewers. X factor could get 10 million viewers and Simon would still want it higher.

Louis Walsh: 'Everyone talks about X Factor, not Strictly'

Well that's patently untrue, X Factor doesn't matter to me so I don't talk about it. I do watch Strictly, and do talk about that. So unless Walsh wants to amend his comment to 'Everyone except for Dennis C....." then he's talking Tommy Rollocks...

Tell you what, get Walsh to be a contestant on Strictly. Imagine him as a wannabe dancer. First put-down from Craig and he'd flare up and hop up and down with rage, yelling "I'll set Simon on you, see if I don't!" while Tess vainly tries to hide her merriment and all of the audience are capturing the moment with their mobile cameras...

By everyone I thinks he means the Press who they feed stories to in a desperate bid to boost their ratings.

Great post apart from the BiB - no cameras as they are taken away from the audience. And yes, I do know it is a joke!

Louis Walsh literally lives in Simon's ass. Louis and Simon's relationship reminds me of the scene in mean girls 'one time she punched me in the face, it was awesome'. Louis thinks of Simon as a God and he is pathetic.

Everyone who loves Strictly knows that Jay MacGuinness and his partner Aliona were the unforgettable winners last year.

Who the hell is Louisa Johnson?

If your preference is for X Factor and Big Brother, then of course you would not know about the Strictly contestants, if you didn't watch the show. Did you?

Just as I have no idea who Louisa Johnson is, or any of the other XF contestants for that matter.

Exactly, Walter.

I'm sure people will correct me but didn't the final of X factor get something like 9 million last year. Well down from the 16 million at its peak. ITV have just given the show an additional three years which considering the ratings are dropping year on year is quite surprising. If the rating continue to fall this year ( No reason to doubt they wont even though all the has beens are back) then an additional three years will seem very optimistic.
