Production Showed Their Hand Last Night
Not that we need more proof of production's bias toward Bear, but there was an unprecedented moment on last night's HL show.
Never in the history of BBUK can I remember a segment cutting to break without a "Coming Up" highlights montage with Marcus VO and ending with the BB theme song playing over the eye graphic. Even the "letters from home" segments do it. Last night, when Bear's ex confronted him, to create a moment, they went to break with no highlights and continued whatever that emo pop song was over the graphic. It just felt so not like BB. I've never watched GS or TOWIE, but I imagine that's how they go to commercials. |

They shouldn't have put an ad break there in the first place.
I suspect that was Channel 5's doing, not the HL show editors. |

Yes perhaps it was a network decision. Doesn't much matter whether it was network or production, it was clearly an intentional decision designed to sell Bear's story arc. It's not a major thing, but as someone in the biz, I thought it an interesting little detail that maybe lay viewers might not have conciously picked up on.

It was like an episode of something REALLY important & sombre, What.The.Fudge. I saw Rylan on This Morning today, and when he said they'd sent in Lillie into the house, he made a point of saying "Stephen Bear, From Ex On The Beach"... So like, now EOTB is getting publicised on ITV??? Maybe I'm just being paranoid though.

For many years they didn't have a coming up section, so you can't have watched the program that long.
I wonder what series they started showing previews for the next segment. Do you know?Been watching since BB5, FYI. Admittedly not as a critical viewer however.
