Linda waited too long to report it that the forensic evidence had diminished. As all evidence was the word of Linda, the case was thrown out

No I don't get it either. And why did Dean have to get off? What's the point of a miserable ending? Basically telling viewers not to bother to report a rape or an attempted rape as they'll probably get off. I just think its irresponsible of them.

I am really disappointed at this result. If this is DTCs idea, I am so angry. I have stood up for him against all the nasty comments about him.I have known him since he was four.
It gives a green light for rape. How did Dean get off. Then his stupid Father gives him money to get away.he should have come back and let the residents deal with him. |

He wasn't on trial for Linda's rape, he was on trial for the attempted rape of Roxy.

With the allegation from Linda and now Roxy, Linda's case would have been reviewed and it would be high unlikely that he would not have stood trial for that offence as well. How ED did it when Lisa was raped.

I liked how ED did it. While Lisa's case was found not guilty, the rapist was still punished therefore showing both justice and the harsh reality that few rape trials get convictions
