So the mighty Bear is still there! What can we conclude from that?

I never predict with confidence.

I can't judge the way the twitterati think.

I merely guess.

So I've no reputation to destroy - at THAT

I'd like Bear to win but I don't think he will win. Jason won regular BB and I am not lucky enough to get my favorite HMs as winners back to back.

Don't put yourself down Vicky. Look in the mirror and say "I like myself". Say it ten times you special, special person. You're lovely, just like me.

I like/love myself but that still won't make me lucky

I don't think it's THAT bad. Bear keeps effing up, because he's too stupid to understand this opportunity he's been GIVEN for the redemption arc they want him to have.

What a loser.

He may win though, but that would be what this series deserves - shit winner.
Year both abysmal winners really if it comes to pass.

Marnie being probably back in the picture will be significant to the vote share.

Is he certain to beat her in a vote not so sure now.

Thinks it's between Ricky ,marnie and bear though
Why the Ricky love lately????? He's do be nothing really.

We can conclude that there's pretty lean pickings in there this year.
Bear's a little prat but he's not the worst person in there and he is certainly a better HM than most of them. I'm completely indifferent to who wins and don't see any one particularly deserving. I guess most people probably feel the same, hence why Bear is still there.

He's an ACTUAL celeb, who has had an audience for many years as Fatboy in EE and as a commentator here and there.

He is known as a decent and nice person and someone with talent. People have LIKED him for a long time.

We've only been shown bits and pieces of him, but we KNOW that he is decent and he's SHOWN that on CBB.

It's not ordinary BB, those preconceptions COUNT, they are part of the game.

I've always liked Ricky, and he hasn't let me down. Even though we've hardly seen him, that isn't his fault.

Aww, come on - even Bear loves him, he said it several times tonight on Live Feed. They are mates, they play bowls together every night.

If Bear loves him, he can't be all bad surely?

I know a website where you can see more of him if you want.

Yes, he is that bad for me. He's one of my least favourite CBB HMs ever. My least favourite is Katie Hopkins, and if she won, then for me, she would have beaten Helen as the worst winner we've ever had.

Reading and hearing people's comments about Bear are reminding me of the comments we had about Helen during the last couple of weeks of her series. "She's not that bad." "I quite like her now." "She's redeeming herself." Following this, she won. These are the same type of comments that Bear is getting, and I think the same will happen to him.
What has Bear done that's put him so near Helen? I'm not doubting you; I'm just curious about what the charge sheet is.

I'd like an answer to that too. I see no comparison between them whatsoever other than the OP's personal dislike of both.

He really winds me up. He's a massive irritant, he constantly seeks attention by doing it in the most childish ways, he can give it but he can't take it, his sexual antics with Chloe. But the thing I most dislike him for is the constant goading and goading. He knows he upsets people when he does it, but he just carries on doing it, not caring about how it's affecting them.

Also, it helps that the vast majority of the winners we've had haven't annoyed me as much as he has.

Our Bear's Chargesheet:

Whenever a housemate acted as if they were a friend Bear reminded them that it was a gameshow and none of them are friends.
Bear made a cocktail with coffee.
Bear wrote people's names in a shoddily made yearbook with jam.
Bear had a few arguments where the other housemate was the aggressor and Bear the defuser.
Bear threw a glass at an innocent mirror. A glass on glass crime.
He broke a few eggs accidentally on purpose.
He was nice to somebody who spat in his food and drink.
He rejected the sexual advances of Renee.
He rejected the sexual advances of Renee by laughing in her face.

Actually the last two charges on his chargesheet were the direct cause of the majority of arguments he had in the house.
Still no crimes though.

You say, "If the votes had matched the "Who do you want to SAVE?" poll here, Bear and Lewis would have gone"

When has DS gotten anything right? When has DS been in line with their views? Polls, bookies and social media had Lewis and James as the ones going. It isn't no shock to me.

I have seen people here make a pretty good case that the forum gets things mostly right, at least for some series.

However, I was just trying to indicate that we can't just use ourselves as a way to answer such questions as who's voting for Bear and why.

I'd say that Bear has about 30% of viewers supporting him. Of those some just want him to stay to see his antics but won't support him for a win. I may be wrong but I think the ABB voters are the vast majority.

I'd say even if, say 75% couldn't stand Bear wanted him out, 25% of the public who like him, or not even like him, but want him in to rock the peace, could easily be enough to get him to survive evictions.

IMO, his "fans" are types to vote multiple times, whereas others may have more people supporting them (if you go by polls), but wouldn't be dedicated enough to vote?

I mean there are several thousand members on DS, but there are around 2m big brother viewers. If you count us, TiBB, BBspy and Tellymix voters, that still makes us around 0.01% of the people who watch.

This is why I look to social media to see what the deal is. What I gather from there is that Bear is disliked by many, but he has a minority of extremely dedicated fans. I saw a screenshot of someones phone on Thursday with it showing they had voted Bear 134 times.

I'd bet that this was the order last night, tbh we know about 1st, 4th and 5th, but I'm convinced Bear got more VTS over Sam.

Ricky
Bear
Sam
James
Lewis

Oh, I don't know, he's giving the redemption line a good go.
He's had a little cry,he's had his spiel in the diary room, he cuts a lonely figure, eating on his own and talking to himself , his head must be fit to burst now he no longer has his cronies guffawing at his hilarious antics, the wasting food hilarity doesn't really cut the mustard with the HM's any longer, so he only has to offer someone a cup of tea and he will be the misunderstood saint

He's a knob and evidently a lot of viewers like his hilarious antics, the biggest issue I have with him is that he's a knob that can not hack the 'banter' when it's aimed at him. ..that makes watching a man his age rather pathetic..I think he actively enjoys goading others and gets enraged when it's given back..thing is now he can't carry on as he did without his chums backing him...what's left? a boring, humourless **** who's' party piece is breaking eggs (yawn), yep he probably will win.

I think Ricky will pip bear at the post and win. I hope so as I would hate to see bear win as he would take that as validation that acting like a complete and utter bellend gets rewarded.
