Have the people who make this show gotten lazy?

Remember the tasks of old that had amazing props and costumes? The ones that lasted days at a time

The ones that deprived our housemates of sleep and rest

What has happened?

We see none of this anymore

The put in people who reality TV savvy and make them do all the work

The only tasks they have now involve informing the housemates of public opinions (in polls etc) or playing back diary room footage to cause trouble

It's all just very lazy

They put no effort into allowing natural and real bonds to form.

They put in Reality TV nobodies to cause instant chaos

Yes, I agree. It's as if they are catering to the shortest possible attention span these days. Nothing lasts long - including punishments like jail. Also, there's no subtlety any more - everything is 'in yer face'. I really miss wit.

Agreed. It's just too extreme

1. They don't have the budget for 15 actors/singers/politicians/journalists/models.

2. This series would likely have been unimaginably dull without Aubrey/Bear/Frankie/Lewis/Marnie/Renee. The reality TV "nobodies" thrive (not at all surprisingly) in a reality TV format.

3. Agree about the tasks.

Celebrity Big Brother should be about seeing celebs OUT of their comfort zone. Not reality TV nobodies thriving IN their comfort zone

100% agree with you. Lazy producers that have gone down the road of the trashy reality shows that I avoid. Where fun is drinking yourself stupid, shagging anything with a pulse, flashing your bits as if it is something new, being mentally challenged and acting the fool.

BIB seems to be the norm as if that is entertaining. It isn't it just causes a bad atmosphere.

Where are the task where hms had to last the longest in a challenge, found secret hidden rooms, had to take over the running of something through the night to show us their characters etc. That is the only reason why hns are being called boring, especially the older ones because there is only so much idiocy you can get away with in there before people start to judge you on your age or you start to embarrass yourself.

Look at James when he was dressed up and the way he played up to it. People can only do so much if they are a certain age without putting people off. Look at the stick Heavy got when he tried to fit in with the younger ones for fun. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

BB needs to change or they might as well end the show. We don't need more reality programmes based on GS etc.

I think they should scrap CBB and go back to your normal Joe Bloggs. Just sayin'.

I enjoy the civilian bb much better.Ive rarely watched CBB its just it followed straight on and I'd got into the habit of watching!

Would like the real live feed back as well so we can make our own minds up without the editing😃

Much easier to waste food, shout when people are trying to sleep, have drunken fumbles, say provocative things. Keep plying them with alcohol.
All the 'drama' none of the effort!

They used to have great tasks that were well planned, now they just want maximum revenue for minimum effort.

Bear in mind that with all the planning, prop making, costume design etc those tasks could run into 5 figures, about the same as Stephen and Colin cost.

I totally agree Live Feed would help people see the real housemates , but BB wont do that they want to decide who we should like and who we should not like , who we should vote out and who we should save .

I agree with the original post these are tasks are boring and very samey, I liked the 24hr sleep deprived tasks e.t.c those housemates really went thru it for their food!

Even if they had the imagination to have tasks lasting over several days it would be a complete waste of money! The public wouldn't see it (or would only see a very small %). Considering all we're allowed to see at the moment is 43 minutes every evening, it would be a pointless exercise!

CBB gets better ratings than the regular series. CH5 aren't going to kill off their cash cow anytime soon.

It's more likely that the civilian series will be axed first.
