They are struggling for music acts to appear as well as household name contestants as well then.

I've never been able to stomach him at all. Have never bought into the cheeky chappy persona and he seems talentless to me, someone who just wants to be famous no matter what. I am disappointed Strictly have booked someone so low rent.

I wish they'd drop the celebrity angle altogether and just have real people. This can count for the singers, too. Does anyone really tune into SCD based on which flavour of the month pop star is performing that week?

I'd love it if they had lesser known singers performing, would be better than having the likes of Ellie Goulding and, in this year's case, Olly Murs, imo.

Sophie Ellis-bextor has a new album in September so I'm expecting to see her promoting.

Olly sells well and is a popular top 40 act, that is a good booking, as for Rebecca i liked her on x factor but is she a singing star, I'm not sure she is.

I wish they'd drop the guest singers altogether. It's often quite painful watching the pro dancers trying to dance to, what is mostly, quite obscure songs.

Let the pro dance couples have a week each to highlight a dance as it should be danced.

I was a bit moany about the contestants this year, but as yet no household names. Although I have heard of most of them. Nobody too irritating yet.

I hope they ask Joe McElderry who is doing very well and can sing all sorts of styles.

Not really a fan of Rebecca. Her singing voice is far too nasal for my taste.

I agree- it's the worst of both worlds with the camera-time being divided between the singer and the dancers; whoever it is you want to watch the most, you're left feeling short-changed.

That said, it's a Saturday night light entertainment show, so not to have a current light entertainment singer would be going against all the accepted traditions of tv-making.

So would I. Unlikely though, at least at the moment, while his music career is still very successful.


I don't think he has ever dated Caroline Flack. They are very close friends, and have made jokes about how they should be together, etc, but that's all I think.
