There used to be a big contrast between BB and CBB. The celebrities were more dignified, their careers were at stake. They didn't go in for sexy times, they were supposedly showing us their human side, and for that reason we did see a lot of very ordinary conversations and interaction.
This CBB is no different than regular BB. In fact I see it being compared to the regular show all the time. It is no longer a case of getting to known another side of well known people. They've filled the house with no marks who are faker than Chloe's breasts. The line has blurred and CBB needs to drop the C. They're not celebs in any meaningful way the word can be used. They're Joe and Joanne Average who have got lucky because they fit into a stereotype that the tv execs want in order to make cheap, lazy, pointless tv to fill the low rent cable channels that pollute our screens these days. CBB always had a wider audience base. My mum used to watch sometimes and she's in her 70's. Nowadays, being over 25 is probably too old to watch this contrived crap |

In all fairness it was only a couple of days, his support is still very much increasing. I don't vote and I never will as I fear the vote may be rigged as it BB. However some people on twitter were claiming that they had voted 50 times for him. 2 other people said 30 times and two others 25 times. I like him but Im not that arsed about the show or what happens.

I would hate to be one of the housemates with this attention seeker ruining everything for the others. Why the hell doesn't Big Brother intervene and punish him properly. He is clearly unstable and needs a proper punishment for his anti social behaviour.

Yes, but we've been laughing at his self-absorption & pomposity, not his entertainment value.

Totally this. The line is so blurred now that they're virtually the same show. And I think we can firmly lay the blame at the excessive amount of professional reality tv people who make up the cast of CBB these days.
Nowadays, being over 25 is probably too old to watch this contrived crap But I think we should be asking why any decent celebs don't want to do CBB. They get better people on IACGMOOH and celebs are positively queuing up to do Strictly. And I don't think it's a money thing - it's down to the nature of the programme and the fact that the programme is guaranteed to make you look like a pratt if at all possible. Added to this the fact that you are now going to be sharing a house with the lowest form of celebrity, and the behaviour that is expected of them in their day job - I can see why any normal celeb would find this a grim challenge and beneath most of them. |

Totally agree in regards to Renee. She practically fell over herself yesterday to make sure Bear was alright after her letter. She said nothing about how nice the letter was or hugging her friends, all she cared about was fixing a plate for Bear 🙄. Silly woman!
![]() Not a happy bunny , and almost ran to the kitchen to apologise to baby Bore . She is so enamoured/fearful of him and I can't work out why . It's not like he's a Kray descendant and she fears a cross Atlantic feud and taking to the mattresses over her dubious honour . He's a weak little boy who mends roofs and trouble raises . Big deal .Renee is a massive disappointment and if I'm honest her stint in there has put me right off ever watching Mob Wives when it crops up . I'll be looking at her puffing her chest out and threatening people and all I'll see is her simpering over the Bore and stroking his thighs as she spoon feeds him cheap pasta . No wonder her papa fell out with her , she's a very weak person hiding behind a myth . |

The fault obviously lies with the producers.
But I think we should be asking why any decent celebs don't want to do CBB. They get better people on IACGMOOH and celebs are positively queuing up to do Strictly. IAC is on primetime ITV and gets audiences of 7/8/9 million. That's a hell of a lot of exposure for someone wanting a career boost when compared to being on a channel with a reputation for being rather low rent being watched by a million or 2 maximum. I also think your last paragraph is spot on. In something like IAC or SCD, there but be one or two scripted reality types and they tend to be the ones who want to escape that bubble and get more mainstream work. Its more of a mix of older celebs, new up and coming ones, reality tv types, pop stars from the nostalgia circuit and soap stars. There is also less meddling, less manipulation, less deliberately engineered confrontation - the whole thing with IAC seems that relationships are more organic and real. CBB is now seen is being so faked and set up that it might as well be called The Only Way Is Borehamwood. |

What a surprise, Bear acting up for the GBP masses who find his crap "entertaining".... Well, l hope the Bear lovers enjoy the so-called humorous idiot, as they believe without him CBB would be too boring to watch. I for one am splitting my sides - not!

People say if Bear wasn't in the show would be boring well surely his childish behaviour that is so repetitive is just as boring. Considering he is 26 his anticts wouldn't be tolerated in nursery let alone in a house full of adults

![]() Bear is many things but hes not boringI'm not watching tonight , not in any sort of protest (nobody would give a crap after all ) , but because I really can't be bothered when I know the menu .They'll wake up happy and chat etc while preparing for the day . They'll get a task and get excited and gung ho . Bore will spoil the task . Renee will get on her soap box about Bore spoiling the task . BB will give them drink, Bore will steal some as usual and no one will pull him up for it even though they know he's doing it . Then they'll sit around bitching about Bore and being wimps because they'll be aware that he has once more forced the highlights to be about him . Nah , you can keep it . |

Frankie has also been entertaining and with Aubrey , no less. But none of this ever makes HLs because it's the Bore show.
They even cutaway from these episodes which featured the majority of HMs enjoying themselves to show Bear in the garden muttering to himself . Exactly, there's 9 other people in there, I'm sure everyone who wasn't sleeping would've been more interesting. ![]() Quote:
No I don't agree with this at all though.
They have taken time in the HL show to show Lewis making a tit of himself with all his comical moments - I have been thoroughly entertained by them! They have taken time in the HLs TWICE to show Sam talking about her sexuality. Katie talking about her Grandma, Renee talking about her life and numerous other bits and pieces. If there was humour or wit that they could share with the viewers, they would definitely show it. I'm afraid that there is no wit in that house - no-one whose humour would work for the viewers. In fact Bear himself has probably been the sharpest in there, and the one who has the ability to make people laugh - not that I expect the entrenched detractors to see it. I see it the opposite way to you. Lewis has been a great loss to the house where humour is concerned, and the next biggest loss would be Bear. I agree, Lewis's motivational speech to Katie was priceless, He morphed into David Brent & Stephen Goode, hilarious & entertaining, I'd forgotten about that side of him I'm not their biggest fans, but Katie has grown on me as has Renee but I would've like to hear more from them. Not necessarily, not when production are focusing on showing Bear for the majority of the 45 mins the public see. Not sure why you had to bring "Bear detractors" in to it ![]() I see what you mean re Lewis, in small doses, he's good to laugh at but Bear's not for me. |

Someone needs to take him out the back and give him a good talking to, preferably that security guard who told him to sit in the diary room.

Well Bear is just doing what he does - no surprises there.
Interestingly, if he seems to be altering his behaviour, he just gets slagged off in any case as people think he is putting it on so he could never do anything to appease his detractors now. But I would be interested to know who you think has been funny or witty in that house? The only people who have made me laugh have been Bear and Lewis. ![]() We don't know if any of the others are funny or witty, we only know how they react to Bear. Lewis is unintentionally funny, like pointing and laughing at the fool. Bear is boring, a one trick pony who's trick is well past it's mild shock by date. |
