What a load of rubbish this show has become.

Dull, dull, dull.

Sickeningly tedious and there is no way back...

What's it saying when the civilian series is the best one of the three UK series this year

Ok it wasn't up there with THE classics of say 3, 5 and maybe 7 but a lot of praise for it on here and social media

This current series has sunk, there's no denying that as people prepare themselves for a Bear win and him amongst the elite of worst winners ever alongside Ulrika and she who is banned from all things BB related

It;s not the worst series, but that one-upmanship task must rate as a low point in the history of BB tasks. They must be running out of budget or ideas.

There haven't been many twists this year. The tasks have been really boring aswell. It seems they are just letting Bear run riot in there and going with it. Wish they had split the group up at some point and given some people a break from Bear.

I thought people wanted less twists, and now people say they want more twists?

The BB fandom for you, the most fickle in the world.

The tasks are like some random last minute entertainment for a children's party

It's so bad I saopped watching even before it started Very sad though a once well-loved show has obviously fallen so low

The general consensus on here was that it was enjoyable because of how excruciatingly badly it was done (rubbish Others task, wasted second house, rubbish tasks etc etc etc) , but they got lucky with a few characters and the fact Jason had the balls to kick out 'the winner'. It was the ultimate BB parody ('stoned to death!', Laura's long lost fella she met once years ago!, death by sponge...the list is endless).

To mention it as a classic BB is madness imo

I agree. I know the show has changed beyond recognition now but the tasks used to be challenging and lasted several days.
It seems a million years since the World Records, First Aid and 'Hold Me Bubble' of BB2

He kicked out the person he least got on with, same as anybody else would have done. Good to see his fans are still falsely attributing him with 'master game player' status.

Why is the celeb one so long this year? The final will be great but the next 5 days are just a waste unless they stick in 2 eviction nights inbetween.

Take note BB. Celeb BB should be 3 weeks maximum only!

It's not long though, is it? It's 4 weeks, which is standard for a C5 CBB.

Just a shame that BB17 was 7 weeks long instead of 8-9. But I guess it's better to end earlier rather than hopping to the finish line, BB17 kept me constantly gripped. Had they done it BB7-11 lenth at 13 weeks, it'd be awful.

To me, BB17 was a Channel 5 classic and far better than the likes of the last couple of series on C4, and BB8, and BB4 etc...

Sure, the tasks were terrible, but taking that out of it, the fact there was the most "normal" DR noms than any other series in around 5 years and IMO the best cast in ages helped it massively. The production was awful, but the casting was fantastic.

Yes, they tried to manufacture drama, but the best drama came from natural roots... Jayne and Natalie rowing over the black carer, "I will Annihilate you" night, Pancake-gate, the Stoned to Death exaggeration, the Sponge etc... all those things were fantastic.

More tasks, less twists, the original format was the best imo.

I didn't say it was a classic, just the best of a bad bunch this year so far

Hasn't been the best year for BB anywhere, with the first series of USA this year sinking fast and BB Canada not faring too well

I thought it was very good natured on here myself during the regular series

Although the regular series was strictly middle of the table for me, an equal mix of good and bad

The promotion could and should have been a lot better, but then again the priority is the celebrity series these days when the regular series should be the priority

We did get a bit of history this year to be fair, the female first out streak finally broken 17th time of asking with Marco going first

And also it was nice to have a series on this channel which was talked about more for the right reasons rather than the wrong ones

Saying they didn't have enough money for live feed, giving us only 30 minutes on a Friday for the civilians, yet they give the celebrities 60-90 minutes every day....That needs looking at next year, the civilians deserved better than that

Was one of the better civilian finals in recent memory, and could have gone either way

Good to see you criticise a point that I certainly did not make, and incorrectly label me a 'fan'

Ah sorry, I thought you compared it to the 'glory days' in the post of yours I quoted Defintely agree, it was miles better than the first CBB. I didn't enjoy 'the GC show' one iota so skipped this, but BB itself was so ridiculous, and some of the characters so extreme, that I thoroughly enjoyed it - not as BB, but as something else I could have done with another week of it tbh, there were legs in it yet imo!

It was very good natured on here and a right laugh most of the time exactly for those reasons I think. I don't think it was talked about on here 'for the right reasons' though unless you mean in a positive spirit.

I haven't watched this CBB but read here as usual and if the posts reflect the series it's been a pretty negative experience. Humourous threads and posts seem few and far between.

If it's still on next year I may give BB another whirl. If they can somehow keep the comedy value of this year it'll be another decent watch on the whole! I think they just got lucky this year though with some of the nutcases they found.

LF has gone now for BB, just as the spirit of the show is no more. It's a great shame, but I'm at the point of acceptance now

It ended when they cast Stephen, it was over before it began and none of us even knew!

Bear is as bad as helen winning, as bad as that Rachel (I think that was her name) winner. If you don't have a good series you can't have a good winner.
