He was a terrible actor. People only think fondly of him because he brought us many awful moments aka "you need slappin daaan"

Harry Reid is the best Ben definitely. Charlie Jones wasn't anywhere near as bad as some make him out to be though. To be written so camp and implicitly gay takes guts for a young actor (especially 10 years ago). Joshua Pascoe was the worst incarnation of Ben.

I think those camp and effeminate qualities were just natural for Charlie and the writers just played on it. I don't think he was "acting" that way. I agree with the rest of your post.

He wasn't that bad. Hardly Bafta worthy. But damn sight better than the awful Harry reid.
Harry Reid is Ben Mitchell.
Charlie Jones was ok as young Ben, but a weak actor.
Joshua Pascoe, I couldn't imagine him playing Ben now, although he did a fairly decent job.

Oh some people don't like him. What a surprise. Every character/actor has viewers who don't like them.
Personally I think he's got elements of both previous Bens - the hard and emotionally unstable Ben 2, mixed with the softness and kindness of Ben 1. I hope he stays in the role for years to come.
