I just think it's slightly ridiculous. Leave people to comment on her being the "next big thing" and if she does fail down the line, you can sit back and feel the satisfaction of being right. At the moment it just seems like an excuse to knock people supporting her.

Agree with you on this point. She has a lot of knowledge both on music and choreography.

Its just quite telling that she is getting booked to things, appearing in other contestants' VTs and being dropped into sentences as if she was a big NAME when she didn't even win the show, and has had one #3 single from a year ago that was absolutely hammered on TV ads and insert slots on the X Factor in order to help it sell.
I have nothing against Fleur but it would be nice if the producers could be real here. She is what she is. Pile praise upon her when she's achieved something actually worth the praise. It also grates on me that she is so favoured over the actual winner of the show. Isn't the whole premise of the show that the winner WINS the prize and that nobody else does? If an artist gets a large amount of publicity it does not mean that they are going to be successful. People will only buy the music if they like it.

Thank you. I'm glad there are a few people that get exactly what I'm saying and don't take criticism of the blatant manipulation and decline of the show so personally.
Despite accusations of baiting, 'posting shit, repeating myself, being a 'hater' and needing therapy, I don't take any of this seriously. It's a light entertainment show to keep us amused during the long autumn and winter months and this forum is a place for all to share their views without being attacked and told to 'get off the forum'
I've watched XF since day one, series one and it's possibly more habit now and the spite my 9 year old watches it more than any real genuine love any more. Or maybe I'm an eternal optimist and I hope beyond hope every year that this could be the series that really takes it back to the level it used to be. The thought of another final like the JLS/Alex one keeps me going - though I feel I'll be terminally disappointed yet again

It's fabulously entertaining, not least because there's an awful lot more nowadays to discuss and dissect than just whether identikit contestant number 5 is better or worse than identikit contestant number six.
