With the Carters dropping like flies I honestly can't see them staying in the Vic for much longer. Nancy is gone; Lee is going; Linda will be out for probably the best part of a year; and I'd be gobsmacked if Tina isn't next to be axed. Which leaves Mick, Johnny and Babe running the Vic. Not exactly a thrilling prospect.

If the Carters were to be dropped from the Vic, who could replace them? A return from Janine would be my preference, but I wouldn't be opposed to Sharon. Or perhaps another brand new family?

I can't not see them in the vic but if this were to happen.
No to Janine
No to Sharon

Bring in someone else.

I think Elaine may return with a few newbies though during Linda's leave.

I would keep them in the Square but Maybe Sharon runs the Vic.

I have really loved the Carters in the Vic, however, as you say, with Lee gone and Linda going on maternity leave it's really going to start missing something.

I personally would love to see Sharon reclaim her "throne" Return to her childhood home and a place she clearly loves dearly.

To be honest, when Linda leaves temporarily I can see Sharon stepping in to help Mick out.

Keep them in the Vic. A big no to Sharon and a maybe to Janine if ever she returns. Belinda, Stacey, Martin and Kyle would be perfect if the Carter's leave.

Why no to Sharon? Just curious.

because time goes forwards not backwards!

I am a no to Sharon and Janine

It's a keep the carters or bring in a new family for me. but as running pubs is what the carters do, if they left the vic it would surely mean them leaving completely which would be a massive shame

The question would be why anyone would want her and Phil in the Vic. They are a toxic couple who would bring the whole atmosphere down. Nag, moan, split up, get back together. They've got nothing to offer.

I would like them to remain in the Vic for the forseeable future and it'd be a shame if O'Connor takes them out of the Vic. If they put a new family in the Vic, it's a risk. I would like to see Janine as landlady one day with a new family. I don't think Sharon needs to return to the Vic yet and I don't mind but only if she splits up with Phil. However, the Vic had too many dynamic couples like Den/Angie, Kat/Alfie, Grant/Sharon and I think it would only work with Sharon if Grant comes back permanently.

It's Mick and Linda who work well behind the bar not the children. So as long as they remain I see no need for a change of hands. And if it does happen then I'd like it to go to a new family or Janine with a new family. Keep looking forward.

Peggy and Grant are the Mitchells who worked best in the pub. Sharon's best years in there were with Grant.

It wouldn't surprise me if SOC did want the Mitchells/Sharon back in there though just as a nod to history but I honestly don't know what storylines that would generate with the Mitchells as they are now.

There'd be a backlash to axing DD who is clearly very popular, Kellie too to a lesser extent, so maybe he is trying to force a voluntary departure by cutting their family around them.

I would guess Kim and Vincent could be the next owners or Martin and Stacey (no cash I know but sure that would be brushed aside )

I don't like Danny Dyer. I find him so overrated.

I can't see why Sharon and Phil would move into The Vic. He is an alcoholic so it would be daft.

Good call there! I could see Martin as landlord actually.

Remove the Carters.

They are rubbish in The Vic and always have been (With the exception of the first couple of months I suppose).

I'd like Janine to be landlady, but I don't think SOC will be able to persuade her to return, so I'd say Sharon.

Keep them there for another year or so, and then review what to do.

Couldn't stand Angie and her neurotic whining. Such an overrated character....and that dreadful little girl voice.

Oh, and Den had charisma by the by the bucketload....not something you could ever say about Phil

Defininetly need the Slaters/Fowlers in the vic. Kyle in the kitchen. Belinda the main woman in charge with Stacey and Martin.

That is a really good shout in regards to the Fowlers. James Bye has that landlord vibe about him and I actually think Martin would suit the position better than Mick does. With Stacey by his side it would be perfect. Kyle if he is staying could do the kitchen if he is axed then use Kathy in that role. Rebecca could work there once she is old enough. Mark could work there too. They would slot into the place like a glove.

Certainly something for them to consider for the future as I think the Carters run in the Vic will end when Danny calls it a day anyway. Which I think might be sooner than people expect now.

Why the hell would Sharon want to live in the very place her dad was murdered??? It would be sick.

I love the Carters in the vic, Mick and Linda are great in The Vic

I would love to see all this happen. It never crossed my mind how good the Fowler's could be in The Vic until now.
