Hi
I've got a 10.1 Note (GT-N8010) tablet and the LCD cable slot is damaged. It's where the ribbon cable rests.
The following vid. might help:

Is it possible to repair it or have I buggered it completely?

. So even if the cable is OK I doubt it will stay in the socket. You might get lucky and find there is enough of the locking mechanism intact to hold the cable in place and with a bit of tape you can get the cable to make contact with the terminals of the socket. But I doubt it will be very secure.
