Would people want to see the World Record Task from BB2?
That's one classic, sure, we have the Box Task, Bootcamp etc.... but I feel the World Record Task is very underrated and would love to see that again.
Just thinking about Dean and the sugar cubes

My favourite ever task from my favourite ever series. I loved Dean and think he was the glue that held that house together.
At least tasks like that gave them something to aim for, to achieve and get something out of it. Tasks back then lasted most of the week and were about learning skills and/or working as a team. Much better than the 'how can we make HMs look like tw*ts and get them turning on each other' that the work experience producers think of in about 27 seconds these days |

BB2 is my absolute favourite. Bubble going on about his "little girl" & failing a task because he fell over the sofa & badly injured his leg in his haste to get to wherever he had to be in time. Daffy but likeable Helen with her designer accessory obsession and her (real) romance with Paul. Flamboyant Brian, who had some success on to following his win and Penny who let her towel slip in the bathroom & got sacked from her teaching job (I remember Davina whispering to her that her job was safe when she was evicted). Great tasks, memorable HMs.

I've never seen BB2 (it was a bit before my time lol) but I would love to see this task, or quite frankly any task, that has some kind of purpose. A goal to reach, something to achieve, not just tedious pot stirring and HM baiting. What gets me is that these lazy new tasks are done because they 'cause conflict' and 'create entertainment'. Well guess what, so did the tasks of olden days, even when HMs were working towards a common goal, and it happened naturally and organically, but alongside this conflict we also got some genuine laughs and feel good moments.
Sometimes I feel like I underestimate the difficulty in cobbling this show together because to me it seems quite simple how to make things a bit better. |

Funny I was just thinking about that the other day.
The sweet corn eating one was funny. |

It would be world records in stuffing food into your gob, with a sick bucket nearby.
That's the way they think these days. |

A world record task each series would be good. There are so many "daft" ones or they could come up with some new ones. No penalty for not succeeding but a treat that everyone would like for actually breaking their record. Not a "party" because they are not that great & the house seems to get a reasonable alcohol allowance anyway but letters and/or a photo from home for each HM maybe or a newly released dvd film to watch together with popcorn, ice creams, nachos & hot dogs etc.

I loved BB2 ,and the Tasks that had them all working together ,Like the Games one ,where even though she'd Failed ,they all stood outside encouraging Helen to not give up until she'd mastered the Pogo stick and stayed on it pogoing for the length of time required

Housemates used to work hard at tasks as basic rations meant exactly that not a party with food and Booze every night. They have no need to win a luxury budget these days.

Remember when the only alcohol they had was cheap cider that they ordered with their shopping budget? The odd takeaway was an absolute treat that they treated like a banquet

And I'm sure the house wasn't the heaving cesspit that it is this season. BB needs to get back to basics, have some fun team tasks & reinstate separate bedrooms for men & women.

The old concept of people thrown together and HAVING to work as a team to survive is completely lost now
Now it's a case of pitching housemates against each other and conflict Helens and Paul romance seems so innocent now |
