Is everything Bear does fake? Any real moments?
I don't think I've seen one, genuine, honest to God 'real person' moment from him in the whole show (apart from when he shat himself when the security guard came in).
If he wins [and I trust he wont] he will be the least real, most 'fake' winner we've EVER had. If this is what BB is, it's become a farce. But what do you think? (That said I think his being a knob in itself is 'real' because he really seems not to care about others, at ALL.) |

Think when threw the cup(?) at the glass was a real moment. But to be honest although all his actions are fake in one respect, I think they are totally as he is - petulant, uncaring, nasty and vindictive. He is playing to an audience for sure but I don't think that any of the negative stuff is really far removed from his real persona.

His antics are all 100 percent fake. His vileness as a human being is 100 percent bona fide authentic.

I think the petulance when his friends are evicted is real. He LOVES the game, RELISHES nominations but not when it happens to his friends. Then he genuinely does seem to take it very personally.
Of course he could be playing up with that too to start fights but he did strike me as genuinely pissed off at that. He can be very humourless sometimes and I think that is a glimpse of the real Bear. Also, oddly, wanting to be liked. I think the not a giving a sh*t is an act. On Friday he was sullen with the boos but when he mistook cheers being for him he light up, delighted, and then kinda slumped again when he realised that, nope, it was more boos. That looked real. Defensive, insecure, petulant. There are glimpses of a real person in there. |

when he told sam she had the hump
when he told the housemates to stop fawning over marnie because they were the ones who put lewis up when he told renee that she was jealous of chloe and she was jealous as she fancies him he is the most genuine in the house , he tells it like it is some of the housemates whisper cowardly behind others backs Bear to win |

He is playing a massive game, not always wisely, but he does say home-truths that others would be too scared to voice. You could say he's being real, albeit undiplomatically, and it's the others who are putting up a false front.

When none of them are being real it comes down to who has entertained the most for me to pick my winner, and let's face the glaringly obvious, out of the housemates left bear has been the only one to entertain regularly.
If he wasnt still in i would switch off as i couldnt back anyone left as they are all boring *****. So for me, i dont care if hes being real or not because none of them are. |

I can honestly say he has never once entertained me, except unintentionally in the above-mentioned pants-messing incident.

Entertainment is clearly subjective. I have found having to turn off the sound or FF every time he is on is making the show too difficult for me to watch. Despite them all being awful and false no doubt he still manages to be the worst.
It seems far to easy to slate bear when no one is even trying to entertain us. |

There could be countless more but they don't make the cut because Bear isn't in them

I will ask you the same, can you give 5-10 incidents that any of the remaining housemates have contributed that doesnt involve bear that have genuinly entertained you?

No, but Bear has dominated the show, and I find him extremely obnoxious and not at all entertaining. His domination of the show has meant other HMs have barely been featured. For all those reasons and more, he has ruined this series for me.
Out of the remaining all i can say is thank god the voting public want entertainment and have kept him in. |

The trouble is that Bear is always on the screen dominating the show in a negative way. However I have seen 2 videos on the BB site that were amusing. One was Frankie doing a strip which may not have amused in itself but it contained some very amusing asides from Katie, Aubrey and Frankie himself. Also James Whale taking the pee out of Renee and her relationship with the UK. Both benefited immensely from having no input from Bear at all.

I think his moments playing bowls with Ricky seem real enough, their quiet chats in the garden seem real, the chats he's had with James late at night seemed real enough. He didn't use the baby voice, was just conversing, all rather different to the antics we see on highlights.
As to incidents without Bear that viewers found interesting or entertaining - I don't watch BB to be 'entertained' in the Britain's Got Talent kind of way, to watch people 'performing', I watch to see a bit of who they are as people, to see human interaction, sure also for the funny bits, the disagreements (which are always more interesting when they are LESS put on and more organic, also when they are less often - anything becomes less interesting when you see too much of the same), the friendships that form. I've been entertained - when they bother to show him - by Frankie quite often, from his botox face person to his chats with people. I've enjoyed Marnie more when she's been chatting and laughing with other housemates, the interactions around the dinner table on live feed. How much the other housemates generally get on with each other and enjoy each other's company when it's not spoiled by childish antics. Live Feed has been the real show for me - and that even includes Bear when he's on that. I wouldn't have known about the bowling game, the friendship with James and Ricky without Live Feed. ETA: The highlight show has been aimed at the younger market more than ever this series I think, they know that the viewers of individual shows that the young people are on or have been on will be watching and, much as they seem to enjoy shows such as TOWIE - which involved A LOT of sitting around talking about people, they don't seem to want to see that on BB, which is what BB used to be about oddly enough. |

I think his anger is very real. He has a sense of entitlement and when things don't go his way he can barely contain himself. He was furious that Ricky beat him in the vote, Lewis leaving was just an excuse. Being honest would have made him look bad, he knew that. All he thinks about is winning, and not just that he'd like to, but that he sees it as his right.
