The local ID's were firing as normal. It's obviously a problem with the feed.

Seems okay now.
On my local capital it sounded like as if it was broadcasting through a fan for about 10 mins.

No problems on Spire.

No problems on IRN 3. So any technical problems must've taken place locally.

Bauer's City 1 stations get the show via IRN 3 at Key, and then send it out on their network feed which is used for their evening show/other networked shows.

Thanks for these, you didn't manage to catch the local ID firing on the Bauer stations did you? I was trying to, but there wasn't one after I started recording.
My Hallam and Viking recordings have the dodgy feed but the ID's are fired out as normal.

The Hits went to Jess Glynne but my Viking 3 one didn't seem to (it was dead air up until the end of my recording)

I have recordings for both Capital Cymru and Capital North West & North Wales which I haven't listened to yet so I will listen back

Just double checked Touch FM and it seems 96.2 went down but 102 was fine

So Spire and the other UKDR Stations take IRN3 from Signal 1 then so that's why it didn,t affect the wireless group stations and some smaller stations then.

What do you mean by 'take IRN 3 from Signal 1'? Signal 1 (Wireless Group) are connected to the satellite feed from 11:00:00 AM - 3:56:30 PM for their network show, and IRN 3 switches over to Capital London at 3:57:00 PM ready for the chart. UKRD carry the Big Top 40 via the satellite, as do all other stations other than Heart & Capital who use IP like their other networked programs.

Ah I see, I just thought because of the Beaur problems on Sunday that other station's might get the sattalite signal from Signal 1 because not all stations were affected.

Yeah. Was obviously a problem with the IRN feed at Key 103 which led to the failure of the other Bauer stations, who get the show via their networking feed from Key.

I am at the Loughborough Christmas Light Switch On this afternoon (hosted by GEM 106 but not broadcasted on GEM 106). That means I am setting timers on my recordings this afternoon.

I will see if I can listen to GEM on my mobile phone about 4pm and see if I can record it at all (as a backup).

Hope you can record IRN3 this afternoon. It will be a good listen if you can do it

I will do my best to get it up and running ready to record, and I'll upload it to vocaroo so I can send a link out and show you how the satellite switches from Wireless Group just before 4PM over to Capital inc. Marvin's 1/2 mins and the start of the show.

Great shame I wasn't recording the satellite on the 8th May so I could have shared the incident which caused the feed to remain connected to Signal with the BT40 network falling silent.

The 21st February was annoying, as only the left channel of my receiver was working so I couldn't hear the producers talking and the pre-fading error.

Have fun at the lights!

As Capital are hosting their Jingle Bell Ball, Matt Wilkinson will take care of the chart next Sunday in for Marvin & Kat.

The 21st of Febuary one was when the Capital London ID was crashing into the localisers.
