Voodoo and whichcraft no doubt.

If you are THAT concerned why not email them, I am sure one of the volunteers will be delighted to help you.

I've just had a look on the Two Lochs radio website on their schedule section when you click on the Sunday section, I clicked on the big top 40 section and it redirected me to the Capital London website, so they must not take it via IRN3 although they air IRN1 ?? judging by their schedule they simulcast with Magic Radio after 11pm. So with the Big top 40 they must take the Capital London feed every Sunday then, how does that work then?
Ah yes, no-one in this thread has yet mentioned Two Lochs. It's a very small station, they simulcast the Top 40 from Capital. And also with Smooth & Magic through the night.

Where abouts did you click through to the Capital site? Was it on TuneIn? I know that all stations on TuneIn that take The Big Top 40 have the same show scheduled.

Yes it was on TuneIn so I take they don,t take the show via IRN3 and yes they do take Smooth and Magic through the night as well.

That's a far cry from "I'm sure".
You'll need to try a lot harder to be taken seriously on this forum.

All BT40 stations have the same Tunein show scheduled. The website links through to Capital as they are the ones who created the show.

They don't take the show through the satellite, they simulcast with Capital.

Heart have just released their festive schedule for 2016. Mentions all other times on Christmas Day other than 4-7. No mention at all of NY Day. Have any other BT40 stations released their festive line-ups yet which mention a Christmas Day/NY Day Big Top 40?

I recall that Bauer pushed back their daytime schedule (Friday I believe) when BT40 aired their chart of the year. Drivetime was on from 1-4pm that day on Tay FM.

How can Global manage to organise a special 'out of hours' chart show with 140+ commercial stations?

They have a content bank service, where they share content and communicate. The Big Top 40 is a network.

For example, on the 8th May when stations went dead due to a failure in which the satellite feed failed to connect to Capital and remained in the hands of Wireless Group, Bauer, Global and Wireless Group would have been in contact to organise the re-broadcasting of Capital on Bauer, the dropping of the localizer triggers being fired and the feed of music sent from Signal 1.

And also, a slightly less complicated example, the Mike Posner song 'I Took a Pill In Ibiza' caused controversy with UKRD, Wireless Group and other stations who play the ultra clean 'I Took a Plane To Ibizia'. They communicated with each other to ask that the Top 40 air that version instead.

UKRD's Sun FM failed to switch IRN 1 off after the 4PM news, leaving confidence tones, football match reports (with the 'attention networks, attention networks your match update coming in 3...2...1...) and the hourly Sky News bulletins to play over the top of the Big Top 40.

I'm going to listen to that on Listen again.

I'm currently listening to it.

Just listened to that Sun fm Recording and it looks like zetta has left IRN1 switched on as it normally switches off at 16.02, but on this occasion it was left on whilst the big top 40 was on , now has IRN3 been accidentally left on? If this happened you would get the confidence tones, then the Signal 1 output which will be broadcasting the old skool anthems show, has this happened to any stations? I remember Real Radio doing that once, it was only for 5 mins though.

It will either be presented by Marvin or Matt Wilkingson.
