Is Stacey safe from the axe?
I don't think her return has worked, and I'm wondering if she's next

What do you mean when you say that you don't think she has worked ?
Her illness story from the beginning of the year was probably the most acclaimed work EastEnders have done this decade. |

Stacey has been a fav of every producer she has been under. I very much doubt it. I haven't been keen on her second stint but that's irrelevant. She is highly popular among fans and is never absent from award nominations.

I'm no Stacey fan but she's got a new husband, a new baby and is about to start a new job. At least she's moved on, unlike Ronnie whose comeback flopped. It would be silly to axe Stacey but I wouldn't miss her.

Good grief yes. Martin and Stacey have to be amongst the safest.

I hope her and Martin are! She's found peace with her life after the breakdown and she's a popular character with the people.
Kyle on the other hand....I reckon will go. |

Stacey's safe as houses, destined to become one of those long serving characters we all love. She's a cracking good actress and the only thing that will take her away from EE is the chance to be in a film and really make the big time.

She's safer than most.
Maybe not as much as Phil, Ian, Sharon and Dot but a lot more so than Kathy, Mick, Linda and Shirley. |

![]() Stacey's psychosis story was one of the best stories of last year and Lacey Turner smashed it. I would imagine that was one of the most harrowing stories in her career. I will say her initial return to the show was messy in terms of writing. But once she has shook off the shackles of the Archie story, she has flourished. I'm sure she is safe...for now. |

I think she's safe. She's now a Fowler and as long as Martin stays she will too.

She's much better now than the days her and that repulsive Kat woman used to screech and assault people around the market all day.

She seemed like a spare part until she married Martin but now she has a solid place in the Fowlers family.

I find her character refreshing and entertaining. One of the reasons I got into the show. |

I will and I did.

You said there is no reason to axe her when there clearly is to many.
. Still don't agree with any of them. |

Not really a popular opinion though. Stacey is 100% safe imo.
Then there are a few scary obsessives who get mad if you diss her. I think she's safe aswell unfortunately. |

I wouldn't say her return hasn't work, but she is a shadow of her former self. That can be easily rectified however.
I'm now starting to wonder if it was such a wise idea pairing her with Martin. They do have chemistry, but it's starting to become a bit dull. Kyle is a bore, so if anyone from that family group should be axed, it's him in my opinion. Stacey works best with the Slaters. Her scenes with Kat, Jean and to a lesser extent Max were always worth watching. Like BA said though, she has moved on and developed as a character and her mental health storyline earlier in the year was superb. I'd say she is safe from the axe, as she's been there a very long time and you could argue she is an iconic character. Axing her would be foolish. |

There are quite a few who don't care for Stacey around here actually.

If anything, it should be the other way round. I do see your point though as Martin is quite a prominent character these days.
