Ratings plummet without "sex-crazed couples"

The Daily Star tells it like it is:

Quote:
“CELEBRITY Big Brother’s viewing figures have plummeted since its sex-crazed couples were separated.

It posted its poorest return of the series on Saturday, drawing a measly 865,000 fans compared to an average of 1.4 million.

The Channel 5 show is said to have been badly hit after sex-mad Lewis Bloor left the house on Friday alongside DJ James Whale.

Bloor and Geordie Shore babe Marnie Simpson, who is still in the house, helped rake in viewers with their raunchy antics, as did shameless Chloe Khan, who romped in front of the nation with Stephen Bear before she left the house more than a week ago.

A CBB source said: “It’s a terrible start to the final week. The house is lacking in drama and things aren’t looking good for viewing figures. Lewis and Marnie were providing all the sex appeal and now the spark is firmly out.””

It would be nice to have one BB, CBB without any fake romances.

Typical Star.

That rating is from Saturday. Always the lowest rated.

Look at Thursdays 1.83m highest since launch, and Friday's 1.6m.

In fact this last week since Chloe went has been the highest rated week. They don't know what they are talking about.

So this is what BB is reduced to? People only watch for the sex.how sad. It doesn't bode well for the future. The next lot will be young sex mad kids.

Absolute sh!te - the Saturday edition ALWAYS rates lower and it was late, airing at 10:30pm.

The Daily Star is not worth the paper it's written on.

Rylan said that the clip of Bear's gf had over 2 million views online, so the show must be doing something right.

Yeah, just misleading, poorly executed, sensationalist journalism. Daily Star at it's finest.

Most people are out on Saturday night, that's why. Its nothing new, just the usual shite from the daily star.

It was on a lot later last night as well and clashed with both the final night of the Olympics and Match Of The Day

Like anyone takes note of the Star.

It's only use is to use as back up toilet paper when you've used the last roll.

I think someone needs to link the Ratings Thread to the Daily Star because they are making things up.

Funny how they didn't mention the ratings increases all this last week and then mention a Saturday rating which always does terribly + a late slot

I'm glad i turned off after the last series, it sounds like this series has been a load of sh**e. Whoever is in to this show in it's current state can keep it, it's target audience is clearly the dumbest people of this country. The audience channel 5 wants are the same people that like shows like TOWIE, Made in Chelsea, Geordie Shore and all of those other terrible scripted reality tv shows.

I don't see the appeal in shows like this, they are just moronic. You would need to lower your intelligence to enjoy them.

But that's online. Anybody can view the clip for the cringe value.

And anybody can watch a clip online more than once.

That is the audience they have cultivated and nurtured with the fauxmances and explicit- ish sex, and gratuitous over the top arguments.
Take their fix away and they go away.
Please let them stay away and get BB back to what it should be and built up a proper audience of followers for the right reasons.

Perhaps they should rename the show Big Brothel and make it all about showmances, sex, nudity and bad behaviour.

True, they can view it more than once. People who don't ever watch the show will have seen it.
