I wonder what SOC will make of this? Seems that DD was gobbing off before the attack. He's also been letting rip at Mark Wright and his brother on Twitter in the lead up to this.

I read some where The Sun have pictures of the whole thing and they plan to print them.

If Danny started it then he should be sacked. No excuse being a thug in public.

If they have, they will as DD has had a public go at them before.

Well that doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

I was reading it a little while ago about how Danny got the black eye.

he was jumped from behind by mark wrights mates and kicked in the head in front of his fiance and daughter

prior to that danny and mark had had words

edit - this is the suns report so far https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbi...at-v-festival/

The mirror doesn't like danny dyer at all

Danny will probably be suspended if anything.

It sounds like it was six of one and half a dozen of the other with Danny being jumped on. So not like a Tony Discipline/Khali Best situation where it was just them allegedly committing a violent act against another person.

Steve McFadden got into a fight in a pub 2006/7 time. They had to cancel filming due to his bruised appearance but he wasn't sacked over it. I know Steve's been on the show a lot longer than Danny but Danny is one of the show's big stars of the moment.

The difference with Steve Macfadden is that he doesn't have a long history of being a gobshite like Danny. He is also a heavily respected and well liked man on the EE set. So that incident was merely a blimp for him which is why he wasn't suspended.

Hopefully these pictures and incident gives Dyer what he bloody deserves. It's worth mentioning that this whole drama did start when Danny purposely knocked Mark Wright to the ground at a charity football match. And this was when they were not even on the pitch.

DD is always tweeting things that perhaps he shouldn't and I get the impression that DTC, everyone's buddy, turned a blind eye. SOC may not.

Little monster doesn't like him and so is never going to say he is well respected and liked whether true or not

he seems to get on well with the majority of the cast if his twitter is anything to go by

There obviously more to the story then Danny Dyer being a gobshite, if he was jumped by a load of blokes then its not really a fair fight.

Dyer is antagonistic and always mouthing off, whether on Twitter or otherwise. He should know better and his behaviour brings the BBC into disrepute.

Still doesn't warrant him being set upon by a group of thugs. Sir Alan Sugar is always sounding off on twitter...some people just seem to like it. I do think DD needs to be reigned in though.

I didn't say it did - I would never condone violence, especially when outnumbered.
I do however agree that he needs to be reined in. DD thinks and acts like he's bigger than the show and needs taking down a peg or two.

Can I just ask how you know Danny Dyer thinks he's bigger than the show? He has as far as I'm aware been very grateful to the show for taking him on

I know he has a mouth on him but I haven't heard any reports about him being a diva on the set of the show.

Yes he needs to calm down on twitter but I think it's unfair to say he thinks he's bigger than the show when there's no evidence to suggest that this is the case.

He's only ever been humble and grateful for the part. He promotes the show to the hilt, praises the cast and loves being part of it.
This acting like he's bigger than the show was one persons opinion that others on here have taken as gospel without any proof.

Regardless what anyone says, Danny Dyer is an actor, like it or not. I remember seeing him in an episode of A touch of Frost when he was a nipper, seems to me he has worked for a living for quite a few decades.

Wright is a nobody and if it weren't for the popularity of such reality tripe as Made in Essex, then he wouldn't be known to any of us, apart from people who actually live in Essex.

I rate Danny Dyer as an actor. As much as he has happily let himself be typecast as the 'hardman geezer' over the years, his early career had some very varied and interesting performances. He gave a really powerful and often delicate performance as the openly 'queer' yet sexually repressed Charlie Milwall in Borstal Boy (2000).
