I agree. I saw worse from Laura when the last Big Brother was on.

My Dad used to say that historically that was the most blatantly sexual advert on TV

My "problem" with Marnie is really that I just don't find her particularly interesting. I don't think she's done anything too egregious, but I just don't really care. In short, she kind of bores me.

Yes, she seems nice enough but she has had Lewis to hide behind in a way. I always wonder what she'd have been like without the 'romance'. The housemates seem to like her, she's always friendly and likes a laugh, but she doesn't stand out.

Definitely

Apart from hers and Lewis's practically scripted conversations that are glaringly obvious, she hasn't done too much wrong, certainly nothing to warrant disowning.

Here in lies the problem.
I realise how blessed I am, with my daughter, when I watch the likes of Chloe and Marnie.

I also remember a friend showing off, using a banana as well, when I was in my late teens, much to my embarrassment as an innocent young girl

Marnie may have been the one demonstrating, but they were ALL (grown women) talking about blow jobs, Marnie being the youngest person in that group.

ETA: I can't talk about Geordie Shore because a) I haven't watched it and b) we aren't watching it now ”

Unfortunately you have just brought back memories of Julie Goodyear

A lot of ppl here criticising Marnie for having sex on Geordie Shore have never watched the programme and might be under the impression that it's worse than it is.

GS is not as camera-ed up as BB. The cameras in the bedrooms show scratchy, dim night vision footage with no close ups. Just shapes moving under duvets. Think Steven Goode and Kimbot but further away with cheaper cameras. Some of you seem to think it's full on, brightly lit porn. Nope.

OH dear, I'm sorry to cause such trauma - to you and now to myself

I've never seen it but I imagined that this was the case. Stick a bunch of young people in a house (I believe they have to live together??), give them booze and S-E-X is bound to happen, it's been the same since the dawn of time

I felt quite sad, though, when Marnie made it sound almost obligatory - even though she seemed even sadder when she implied that she had no control over herself when under the influence of alcohol, which indicates a) a problem and b) a slight hint of being used by the people who make the show, which sounds rather sleazy (on their part, rather than hers).

It all sounds rather unhealthy!
