TV presenters join the host of stars for Strictly new series?
TV presenters Eamonn Holmes and Dawn O'Porter have signed up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, it is believed.
Holmes, 56, presents ITV's This Morning weekly alongside his wife Ruth Langsford. He also hosts breakfast show Sky News Sunrise. Holmes has apparently signed up to dance on the show after recently recovering from a double hip operation. O'Porter, 37, is best known for presenting and narrating several BBC Three documentaries, but has also established a writing career for herself, and now resides in Los Angeles. She was heavily rumoured to be participating in series four of the contest, but it is rumoured that her actor husband Chris O'Dowd was unhappy about her taking part. Strictly Come Dancing launches next Wednesday. The BBC will confirm the second celebrity to join the show tomorrow morning on Breakfast. This follows the announcement that double Olympic gold medalist Kelly Holmes will be taking part. TellyMix, 25 August 2016 |

The second celebrity to take to the dancefloor this series is...
STEPH MCGOVERN McGovern, 34, presents the business segments on BBC Breakfast. She also sometimes co-hosts the show alongside presenters like Charlie Stayt and Dan Walker. By the way, is Aljaz in this series? Or if you want to wait until tomorrow that's fine

Strictly rumour round up: Eamonn Holmes, Ross Kemp and Alex Ferguson to take part?
There's just five days to go until the new series of Strictly Come Dancing launches, we discuss all the celebrity rumours and those who have already been confirmed.
Retired Olympic champion Kelly Holmes, BBC Breakfast's Steph McGovern and Paula Lane, aka Kylie Platt in Corrie, have already been confirmed for the pro-celebrity dance contest. This Morning and Sky News host Eamonn Holmes, 56, is thought to be taking part after a recent double hip operation, alongside his wife and fellow ITV presenter Ruth Langsford, also 56. EastEnders actor turned investigative journalist Ross Kemp, 52, is also expected to have signed up. The Sun can also reveal that model and ex of Mollie King, David Gandy, 36, will take to the dancefloor in an effort to raise his profile. Mary Portas, best known for her Channel 4 retail documentaries, has also signed up to the upcoming series of the show, to experience "something a bit different". In addition, Sir Alex Ferguson, 74, former manager of Manchester United, is rumoured to be taking part. Joining her could be pop princess Alexandra Burke, who is sure to attract the high scores with her moves. Finally, popular singer James Morrison has been heavily rumoured to be participating, but whispers of his involvement in the show have quietened recently. The BBC will announce the first male celebrity to be participating tomorrow evening. The Sun, 26 August 2016 |
