It’s now time to pair up three of our male celebrities - James Morrison, David Gandy and Justin Fletcher!

James Morrison “Hi, I’m James Morrison and I’m a singer. I’m probably best known for songs like You Give Me Something, and for Broken Strings with Nelly Furtado… I do get that shouted at me quite a lot out on the street! The reason I signed up to do Strictly is just so I can learn to dance with a professional, I just hope I come out of this with some sort of skill!”

David Gandy “Hello, I’m David Gandy and I am a model. I’ve modelled for Marks and Spencer and for Dolce and Gabanna. To be honest, I am pretty terrified of being on Strictly. I’m used to the cameras, but there’s usually only five or six other people in the room - so it will be a bit of a shock in the studio for the first time!”

Justin Fletcher “I’m Justin Fletcher and I pop up now and again on CBeebies! I’ve been on the channel for almost twenty years now and I absolutely love it. It is going to be a bit weird being on prime time TV and doing something completely different to what I’m used to, but I’m excited and can’t wait to get it all started!”

Paula Lane “Hi, I’m Paula Lane and I am an actress best known for playing Kylie Platt in Coronation Street for six years. I’d like my partner to be nice and gentle, but also strict if I fall out of line or I’m doing something wrong… The dance I’m most looking forward to is the Charleston; it looks like so much fun and I love all the lifts and tricks you can do in it!”

Steph McGovern “Hello, I am Steph McGovern and I present the business segments on BBC Breakfast. My routine involves getting up at three in the morning and going straight to work. I’m so used to going to bed early because of my early start, but I just don’t know if that’s going to be possible anymore. What have I let myself in for!?”

Amanda Mealing “I am Amanda Mealing and I am probably most famous for playing Connie Beauchamp in Holby City and then Casualty. The thing I’m most looking forward to is showing the audience Amanda. People always come up to me out and about and call me Connie, but I’d like to show them who I am and hopefully learn to dance in the process!”

Kelly Holmes “Hi, I’m Kelly Holmes and I am a retired Olympic athlete. I competed in the 2004 games in Athens and won gold in the 800 and 1500m events. Winning the Olympic games is definitely the highlight of my life, and now I’m moving on to Strictly. I hope Strictly is going to be more of a highlight than a low point in my life!”

And now we have our final four male celebrities - Ross Kemp, Gino D’Acampo, Noddy Holder and Chris Mears!

Ross Kemp “Hi, I’m Ross Kemp and I am best known for playing Grant Mitchell in EastEnders. I’ve also presented documentaries and won a BAFTA for my ‘Takes On…’ series. I’ve seen some pretty gruelling sights, both on EastEnders and in my documentaries, but Strictly’s going to be a whole other ball game. It’ll be difficult but I’m ready for it - sequins and all!”

Gino D’Acampo “Hello there, I am Gino D’Acampo and I am a chef. I am often on This Morning showing off my new recipes and my Italian personality! I’m most hoping to impress Bruno out of the four judges, since he knows how brilliant us Italians are at dancing. I hope my partner can keep me in shape and show me how to really groove!”

Noddy Holder “Hi. My name’s Noddy Holder and I was the lead singer and guitarist in the band Slade. I decided to do Strictly to show all these young ones that although we might be a bit older, we’ve still got some moves in us! The dance I’m most afraid of would have to be the Jive; I like to sing my praises but I really don’t think my knees would be able to cope!”

Chris Mears “Hey, I’m Chris Mears and I am an Olympic diver. I recently won a gold medal in the 3m synchro dive at Rio. Winning the gold medal has to be my proudest achievement. When I told my mum I was doing Strictly, the first thing she said was ‘if you win Strictly I’ll be the proudest mum on the planet!’ As if a gold medal wasn’t enough!”
