For me Katie is an odd character - to begin with moping about with a face like satan , then coming out of her shell a bit when provoked by Heavy D and running her mouth off about her grannys anal exploits, then turning her back on her handler Ricky , and now parading around the house seemingly full of beans.
I think Frankie may be right that shes very conscious she is in danger of being nominated and is reacting with nervous activity.
Ive not seen anything in Katie i find anyway sympathetic , like the heartless way she spoke about her gran.
I think Renne has given more insight into herself as a person than anyone else.

I quite like her most of the time. Her changing accent is probably down to the fact that she & her husband live in the UsA & some people are more prone to picking up the accents of those around them more easily. It's not usually deliberate.

I'm think I would be heartless if I had discovered my nan had been living a double life as a prostitute too
. It's not as if it hadn't been exposed (pun intended) in national newspapers years ago.

I think that most people if they found out that a relative was working as a hooker would be more concerned about their relative than themselves and how it makes them look.

From what I've seen about her Nan, it's all about her Nan on her Nan's part, so it seems to be six of one and half a dozen of the other
I've liked Katie overall and am also a victim of the changing accent, having lived abroad for some time over the years.

Exactly how I feel too, Katie is very fake and comes over as a real hypocrite. She showed her real colours when she nominated Ricky who has been nothing but kind to her and I cannot stand the way she has hung on to all the Americans shirt tails and constantly paws and hugs Aubrey! I probably dislike her more than Bear because she's so false!

You need live feed to get a true view. Otherwise it's all just based on the edit, the edit decides who goes. What I saw of this series she was in the background most of the time, no doubt saying things but not shown. So you don't know why some like her or why some dislike her.

Is it new-found or just unseen previously? The housemates voted her the most amusing/entertaining or something like that, so they obviously enjoy her company. We, of course, haven't seen much of her - or anybody else - in the 'bedroom' group, except on live feed.

TBH, I don't care who wins this abominable series, but I think it's been very good PR for Katie, for the most part. I think out of all the housemates in there, she's the one who has turned it around positively for herself and it doesn't matter if she goes or if she wins.
She was one of the most hated X Factor contestants and even got my back up at the time, but after seeing her on this, I've actually done a 180 degree turn on my opinions of her.
For the most part, she comes across as fairly likeable, interesting, at times even funny, and I don't pick up on any dark conniving undertow to her. As long as she doesn't screw it up for herself from here on in till the show ends, I think she's comes out of this debacle smelling of roses compared to some.
She was one of the most hated X Factor contestants and even got my back up at the time, but after seeing her on this, I've actually done a 180 degree turn on my opinions of her.

We don't really see anything. All you can say is the edit has made her more popular, if it actually has.
Katie has tried to turn up the volume the last couple of days but she has very little to say. Her struggling attempts at a conversation with Bear on last nights HL show was beyond embarrassing. She talks like a dimwitted Kardashian but doesn't have the looks or body to get away with it.
Kind of undecided by her, seems nice enough if a bit unstable. In fairness to her the producers have chosen to not screen much of her until the last couple of episodes so it's hard to form a fully fledged opinion really.
Something I find unlikable about her. She's not horrible but she just leaves me cold.
