If Bear Wins, It'll Be Just As Bad As Helen Wood's Win

I honestly do think this. I can't remember the last time a HM annoyed me as much as him. He constantly seeks attention in the most childish ways. He's obnoxious and he goads and goads his fellow HMs to upset them, and he doesn't care. If he did, he'd stop, but he just carries on, and all with a smile on his face. It's all just so he can get the airtime he constantly craves.

He seems completely and utterly incapable of putting himself into anyone else's shoes. For those who think he's funny - if you were living with him and he was constantly doing these things both to you and in your presence, would you find him funny then? Because something tells me you wouldn't. So why, just because it's not happening to you personally, does that make his behaviour acceptable? I have never been able to understand that particular logic of it being okay for someone to do it to someone else, but not to you.

It's not childish and innocent pranks. He knows exactly what he's doing. Pranks stop becoming pranks when the person on the receiving end gets angry and/or upset and when the "prankster" keeps on doing it even when they know that the other person doesn't like it.

He also got sexually involved with Chloe, cheating on his partner. And when his partner came in, he didn't care at all. There made no effort to talk to her and he made no apology, instead nonchalantly shrugging his shoulders at her. He even later blamed her in the Diary Room!

And people are saying that he deserves to win? I've watched BB since the first series where the general consensus was that the nastier housemates didn't deserve to be there and were promptly voted out. But nowadays, it seems like the more fame hungry you are, the less amount of respect you have for others, the more bitchy you are, the more you get involved in public sexual activity, the more anti-social you are, the more you deserve to be there. And if you're a genuinely nice, decent person who has intelligent conversations and don't go round looking for attention or controversy, then you're a terrible housemate and you shouldn't be there. There are impressionable teenagers that watch this show and if they see these type of HMs portrayed as deserving to be in there, they will think that this is the way to get ahead in life.

Some people have said that he should win because at least we've seen him and not the others who are boring. I don't think it's fair to call the others boring. How do we know that they're boring when we haven't even seen enough of them to come to that judgement? If anything, I find Bear boring because he just says and does the same things over and over again.

If he wins, he, like Helen, will have behaved horribly all series and then get rewarded by winning.

Bear's a joker.

Helen wasn't.

I don't know I you're only referring to the celeb version, but another unworthy winner was Aaron.

As awful a person as Helen was, she was (in my opinion) the most acceptable of a whole lot of bad choices.

This would be the opposite. He's an awful person, and the worst of a bunch of good choices.

That would make it much, much, much worse in my opinion.

He deserves his place in the final because he's survived multiple evictions, she didn't.

Without immunity and with her mouth she would have been gone in week 3.

He is more comparable with Perez as the house winder upper.

Actually he is nothing like Helen.

Yep, she would have been gone and the epic drama and conflict would have gone with her.

Bear has been consistently entertaining whilst the others have sat in the bedroom playing with make-up and talking about Bear and Heavy D. I really enjoyed watching Marnie and Lewis' romance, so I'd be happy if Marnie won and Frankie has been entertaining, so I'd be fine if he won. Either of those three and I'd be fine but any of the boring others - absolutely not.

He may be nothing like Helen, but there is one similarity, and that is both were/are using bullying behaviour towards other HMs, coupled with
the idea that you can redeem yourself in some way at the last minute.

(I have found both equally obnoxious)

This is true. Perez was a harmless WUM and he made that season. This is the Bear season just like Perez's season was The Perez Show (who won?, not Katie Hopkins...she was horrible)

edit: neither Perez nor Bear are similar to Helen Woods

Helen could speak, Bear can't

Bear's idea of "fun" is causing distress to other people and in very calculated and cruel ways. The idea of such behaviour being rewarded by the general public is quite disturbing. Helen's win was a protest vote (imo), much like people voting for joke acts on X-Factor so I think Bear winning would actually be worse than Helen.

I don't think people like his partner, Lillie Lexie Gregg, would say that he's a joker.

I agree. And yes, admittedly, there are times when I think his win might actually be worse than Helen's.

Aaron may actually be the most worthy winner of Big Brother.

Much as I'd hate to see Bear win (he exemplifies pretty much all that is wrong with Big Brother), Helen's win will always be the worst as we were never given the opportunity to evict her.

What is so entertaining about seeing someone act so obnoxiously by goading and goading people when he knows full well that they don't like it? That sort of behaviour isn't acceptable in everyday life, so why is it suddenly acceptable in the BB house?

And about the others being "boring", I again go back to my OP - how do we know that they're boring when we haven't even seen enough of them to come to that judgement?

Dont often comment on the bb thread but Bear is the most vile housemate I think they have ever had

If CBB5 aired today Jade Goody would've won.

Simple answer is no.

There is no way BB will get as low as Helen. It's just not gonna happen.

Sums it up.

Helen is far worse, IMO (and I'm no Bear fan). She was horrid, Bear is just a wind up merchant.

I've seen plenty of them on the Live Feed and they're okay, but there's nothing particularly original or compelling about their behaviour. I do find Bear's daft noises and winding up of the other housemates highly entertaining - no, I wouldn't like to live with him, but I wouldn't like to experience half of what I see of television, so this is hardly a reason not to watch.

What entertains you isn't necessarily what you'd like to happen to you in your own life.

Helen was malicious. Bear's just a wind up.

I don't know if I necessarily want him to win at this stage but when I think of who's left in the house at this point I'm not going to remember any of them for this series in a year's time. Only Bear. So maybe it should be him.

Probably will be Marnie though.

We can thank her for the sorry state of warnings Big Brother's devolved into her.

I would like to have seen Bear compete with Vinnie Jone's or Goldie. I doubt Bear would have lasted long. What Bear forget's is that one day he is going top pick on the wrong person.
