Matt just has a permanently startled look. It is most alarming...
His signature dish should be 'Rabbit caught in the headlights'

Basically, Nigella's completely redundant to this challenge, isn't she? She just has to stand around looking sympathetic.

I just thought the exact same thing - she was mooching around being superfluous and doesn't even get a say in the result!

Where is Karmen? Has she taken the day off due to it not being a dessert challenge ?

I think that she was in the winning 'girl power' team that just squealed like stuck pigs when they won.

I want to hug poor Matt right now

That must be galling - losing by so little after they discovered they'd been underpricing the goods.

that was really close between all three teams actually

kinda feel sorry for the blue team, they just got their prices wrong rather than anything to do with the cooking

Absolutely, their food was fine and it was purely the prices, and Mimi knew that, their only mistake was being first to the fete

I love Mimi

i thought at one point they were going to make the same very unpopular decision a team did last year and put their prices up halfway through service after seeing what the other teams were charging

All this 100%.

We've seen before in these 'cash is the only factor' team challenges that people are going to buy your goods whatever as its Masterchef Australia so the losing team is always the one with the lowest average price point.

Desperately want Mimi to stay but if any of the other five go I won't cry too much. Well Matt (that is the shaved head young guy?) can stay too. He's good and entertaining.

Drinking game point. 'Under the pump'
"Let's smash it" - Take a drink!

Although it's a nice change of format when it's a team challenge decided by takings not judge's decision, it is still funny when basically someone will get eliminated cos their team didn't rip off joe public to the same level as the others.

I've no real concept of the Aussie dollar, but $12 for salad or a bit or brownie seems steep

I dislike this type of challenge because it says nothing about whether the food is good or not. Just because more people have paid more for one team's food doesn't mean they liked it once they'd bought it. I know they're trying to teach them about costings and pricing and so on, but it shouldn't be the only criterion for judging.

I know right. I hate salad, so I sure as hell wouldn't be paying $12 until that was like... Gold plated chicken, or something!!!

It is a bit steep, but prices should be steep when there are hundreds of hungry people wanting a meal. Even at $20 you only need enough takers that your queue is never empty and you'll clean up.

Don't know if anyone else noticed but I was dreading that a massive spoiler had inadvertantly been featured in the Masterchef promo that featured Marco, Nigella and Heston and ended with Matt, George and Gary facing 12 contestants.

Needless to say I was so relieved when Jimmy went (obviously annoyance factor) but as well because he featured in the line up in the promo so proving my fears wrong

Theresa is 45?! She looks amazing!

I'm re-watching some of series 6, which I didn't comment on much here as i watched it in Aus time.

Features my number one most annoying contestant of all time - Emelia (even the spelling is rank, sorry anyone with that name).

Remember when they conveniently raised money for the charity that helped her when she was in a car crash. I'm equal opportunities - didn't make me like her any more. Wow she was so smug and arrogant, completely ruined what was otherwise a really good series, because for some reason MC wanted to champion her and seemed to think we would like her horrendous attitude.

She certainly came across as the definition of smug. The way she sneered at anyone else who made a panna cotta was particularly unpleasant - as if she had the rights to them. It was always fun to watch her when they made one better than hers.
