Is anyone else thinking that Nigella's week should have been right at the beginning when they were sorting the original wheat from chaff, rather than after MPW's week which was much more complicated and had harder challenges? Nigella's not got the same sort of kudos as a properly trained chef, she's a cook and her challenges could have just as easily been set by a member of the WI - who doesn't make a disproportionate Vicky sponge!
Or do what they did the first time she was on and have her for one programme. That just about exhausts her usefulness.

Again, all the judges are wearing an element of black, except Gary

i was kinda thinking this the other day

her style is home cooking which in theory they already are, the show is meant to be about turning home cooks into professionals

i suppose the counter to that is there are still alot of things around flavour, balance and the fundamental techniques that alot of them dont do very well

The pop group from the 80's called Bros - Matt looks just like Matt from there

might be before your time or you were lucky enough for them to just pass you by in the late 80s/early 90s

Looks like it's going to be a toss up between Charlie and Con going home today - rubbery pound cake vs dense chocolate cake.

But given that Con didn't take Nigella's advice I reckon he will be gone

Fancy telling him to go to plan B, he barely had a plan A!

I'd love one of them one day to say, actually, I'm ready to go home, I've had enough.

Agreed, they don't like them not taking advice.

it was fairly useless advice however, by the time she talked to him there was no way he would have had enough time to prepare and bake anything else anyway

I think he would. I take 40 mins from start to finish to make a chocolate fudge cake, and that's mixing everything using a wooden spoon!

Very very very old I find it hard to accept that someone born in the 80's could be in their 30's now

Yes, I reckon he might have done better to throw something together quickly than plod on against advice, they really get snotty about that.
