I think that even though many won't admit it (I am not one of them) it makes for much more exciting TV when they all muck it up royally...at the moment it's difficult to say who's going to the be the one that ends up mucking it up so badly that they go home.

Is a perfect parfait enough to excuse the missing egg and tea bag?

Shouldn't be, but you never know

I'm calling it now. Let's see how right we are.

No matter what the others do I think that given the elements that Theresa has struggled with and not managed to get on the plate I think that she will be the one who gets sent home tonight...

Wish I could say different, as I truly had hoped she'd come into her own after her brother left, but she's just not up to the same level as the others (even if they are just as irritating as her).

Brett the pirate to go for me with his mad staring eyes

I've not got any time for the other two, Theresa especially (45, my arse!)
I'm all behind.

But yes, I'd like Brett to go. It's the eyes and the 'Big I Am' attitude - presumablly from being a pirate - that I can't get on with.

Although from where I am so far it looks as if Charlie is doing the worst. Could be misdirection of course, focusing on the two blokes and it's Theresa who blows it.

After seeing Charlie's parfait, I'm not so certain. I mean, 4 eliminations is it? There's got to come a time...ooh, and his mushroom risotto won't be very mushroomy will it?

I certainly like it when I am not emotionally rooting for any of them. I don't mind Brett so am happy it looks like he'll stay but none of the three are in my favourite 4/5 so far so I can root for carnage.

I love MCA for the quality but the odd episode where they all really struggle is certainly a guilty pleasure!

If he survives then Theresa's dish must've been awful but I think her perfect parfait will save her. The golfer to go...

But then we have the competition, perfect parfait vs competition-level consomee

Theresa goes. I'm not going to miss her one jot. Didn't take to her or her brother at all.

Havnt caught up with the thread yet, just popped in to say does the chef on tonight's elimination remind anyone of Marti Pellow from Wet Wet Wet? Or is it just me!,,,

Had to happen through simple mathematics

The ending update will show her forging ahead with her business peddling the elixir of life (in parfait form)

Cripes, I sort of called it. That's a novelty. But as soon as Jason said the dish was meant to be tea it was signposted, really.

Charlie lives to go into the next elimination.

I have no doubt that both he and Brett will find themselves in another elimination in the next week or so - they are good, but they aren't as good as the other competitors and at some point they are going to reach their limit, whether in a team challenge where they are the weak links, or in another surprise box challenge.

Bit bored of Brett talking about how he's "cooking for his kids". I get the feeling there's an inevitable "cook for the family" type challenge coming up with lots of tears. Oh joy.

didn't see it live tonight because of the clash with the football, theresa's jacket has been on a loose nail for awhile so no real surprise to see her go tonight

Just caught up. I'm glad to see Teresa go tonight, the only one I disliked more than her was her brother.

I do have a favourite though, I'm backing Matt (still think he's more like a young judge Rinder than a member of bros lol). I just find him quite likeable, not up himself like one or two of the others and his dishes look good most of the time. Don't worry if you don't like him-I don't have a record of backing winners!

Ah, the inevitable 'you're cooking for VIPs, the most important people you'll ever cook for' round. And everyone has to pretend they've never seen the show before and doesn't know perfectly well it's their family.

With luck he'll be gone lie nig before they wheel that one out.

That main course was one of the most pretentious dishes I have ever seen.

Forty plus ingredients, fifty plus steps and three hours to create it.

Ffs sake.........get a life.

Too late to edit when I spotted that - 'lie big' = 'long', of course.

I agree with you 100%

Haven't they done this challenge before? I am sure I recall someone putting cheese on the outside and it all stuck to the griddle really badly.

I remember a couple of seasons ago when they went to a high school and did a duck jaffle? That was Shannon and Curtis Stone

Good grief, Karmen is such a charisma vacuum!

Gutted Chloe didn't pick Mimi. Could have completely rooted for them. I don't want Carmen to get a pin but want Mimi to do well.

I must be the only one who was a bit sad to see Theresa go! :O
Still, she lasted longer than Jimmy so she can mention that :P
