dont think the toasties from my student days would do well here

used to get a packet of skinless sausages, slice one up and then add a spoonful of beans, made 2 toasties. could live for 4 days on a loaf of bread, one packet of sausages and a tin of beans.

Is it wrong that, picturing those smothered in brown sauce, my mouth is watering? :blush

While watching something called 'Masterchef' ...:

I remember a couple of seasons ago when they went to a high school and did a duck jaffle? That was Shannon and Curtis Stone

Good grief, Karmen is such a charisma vacuum!
I just did a bit of research - it was used in an immunity challenge last year (that Reynold took part in - didn't realise that his brother was a judge on MasterChef Indonesia and his mother was a prizewinning pastry chef). So I wasn't going insane.

She really hasn't got any depth to her at all, has she!

I make chocolate spread ones! Or baked beans and cheddar cheese (but forego the brown sauce - salad cream all the way).

I think the one BBAnne is thinking about was a team challenge in a school further back than that. The one with Kelty in, series 5 or 6, I think.

With that pedigree I wonder why Reynold went on MCA - seems a bit redundant.

They do look great, but with the amount of filling that oozed out I can't help wondering how much is left in the middle of them. She filled them just a little bit too much.

I hope that Matt gets through, he finished his and then helped with Chloe(?).

Well as harsh as it is; if they do go through I hope they don't win, Karmen would be unbearable if she got an immunity pin!

Agree, they looked like you should eat them over the sink

Chloe's apple pie jaffle has me salivating, but Matt's could be the downfall

Re Reynold, I knew about his mum but not his brother, that's insane! Wasn't his sob story that his mother wanted him to do something else? After 8 series I may well have confused myself though

Oh totally! She'd never touch an onion again

I get the feeling that she doesn't want to learn about savoury stuff

It sounds to me as if they're all pronouncing Mimi 'Mimmie'. Unusual, surely? I'd say 'Me-me'.

Those apple ones look amazing, I could happily stuff two of them with no issue.

YAY for Matt and Chloe.

I noticed that and thought it was weird!

Oh yay!! I'd be very happy for both of them if they got the pin

I think this is a much fairer way, where the chefs don't know what they are cooking in advance, gives the contestants a bit of a chance.

Yes, it was often a bit of a joke before, especially when the guest chef got to choose what they were going to cook.

I've said it before and no doubt I'll say it again, I love Shannon Bennett as mentor. Neither of the others would have actually shown a contestant how to de-vein a prawn quickly like that. They would have stood and asked if they thought they were doing it right.

Yes I agree, he is by far the best mentor, he really tries to guide and help them. I think he's great

Exactly, he's a mentoring mentor and it's a breath of fresh air
