Good gravy - sorry, jus - talk about a beeeeaaauuutiful overload last night.

That's right Chloe. Ignore the repeated advice and then bring on the tears because the advice was right. That'll keep your place. I really really hope she goes tonight.

Theresa made the 'flavour explosion' AGAIN. AND they were so untidy not to say the only thing she did!
I think she has a very sexy voice and is particularly articulate but I've heard enough now. Can she do savoury? Can only Brett and the older guy do savoury? Cummon MCA things are getting boring.

Matt normally does well with savoury, I think that last night simply wasn't his night. They were focusing so much on not undercooking it that they went the other way with that duck.

No, but I have noticed that the word "perfect" is being over-used.

I'd forgotten how annoying Elise is. Looks as if she's safe this time though.

And bloody tears from Chloe again. I didn't cry as much as she does when I woke up this morning and couldn't move thanks to cramps so painful I've been taking codeine.

Love smoked paprika.

'This cake needs to be cooked.'

Oh, do you think?

Me too. Smoked paprika works in so many things.

Great, tears are contagious

Bye Nicolette. Try and remember you're 19 and your life isn't over. You can always do what the rest of us do and go and actually study what you want to be or get a job in the industry you want to be in. Of course, there won't be TV fame and a huge wodge of money but, hey ho.

Chloe and Elise are beginning to morph into one for me!

Nicolette did look as though the sky was falling when she heard her name. She was good, but not good enough. Such a shame they couldn't send three home...Elise, Chloe and Nicolette.

Glad I'm not the only one. Heard "your inspiration is seashells" and then "ooh, strawberry parfait" and nearly flung something at the TV.

Reasonably, if you were told that the inspirations were seashells and fire how many people would guess that would result in 4 desserts? That is just this season in a nutshell.

Spheres and parfaits and custards and crumbs and soils and mousses.

Reynold's certainly cranking them out with the work experience, isn't he? Lucky for him there's no shortage of desserters deserting the MCA kitchen...

Fun fact? The subtitles for the first portion of the show were from an entirely different episode.

They were from the team challenge, weren't they? For a moment I thought they were just out of sync, which can be fun.

Seashell theme? Easy-peasy. Just make the dessert you were going to make anyway and serve it in a shell or tell a story that involves a beach and well up. Job done.

They're not going to need Zumbo this season for eliminations. They should give them all savoury, that would be more of a challenge.

when i saw the seashells my first thought was maybe doing something like "pulled" merigues blowtorched on the outside to actually look like seashells, or maybe something with caramel swirls

bit of a kop out imo to let them away with doing a dish that just reminded them of being near the seaside

the amount of samey desserts being done has reached saturation point for me, not sure what they can do about it tho as they almost seem able to make anything into a parfait or a sorbet

anyways i'm off to have some prawn head sorbet, with chocolate covered broccoli explosions and a black olive and pistacchio crumb for breakfast
