it was the "wtf" looks on the rest of his team's faces when he got the white chocolate
saying that harry had a similar look when the pirate started making pastry last night We just watched the John episode again and seeing last season's contestants (apart from Rose!) they were streets ahead of this year's lot. Last season contingent was very strong! |

That green hair was Persian candy floss - pashmak, and it would've come out of a packet. So not very impressive at all.

I don't mind Theresa, but it seems like she will go.
Chloe - extremely positive editing. Going against the professional chef was edited to show Nicolette - so we associate Nicolette with the failure. Yesterday we were shown Chloe trying the sauce and not liking it, but feeling pressured into keeping it on the plate (well that was what she claimed in her 20/20 hindsight VT of course) and the bit where Heather liked her (crap) plating was kept in. We're not supposed to associate the failure with Chloe (again) so presumably she stays. Heather - the programme shows her doing the biscuit, her repeatedly mentioning her 'element', which was the only successful thing about the dish. Presumably she stays. Anastasia - has been fairly positive so far. Was responsible for the sauce though, but I suppose they couldn't get round that. Could be a shock exit but expecting Theresa. Theresa - with the above in mind, expecting Theresa to go home. |

I'm not sure, it's been a while since they did a straightforward pressure test.

not a veggie and the thought of eating a big chunk of beetroot wrapped in pastry really doesn't appeal

What a pretentious dish "have fun with it" says the toddler who walked in with the cloche
Was that all for real what they were saying about him? that's pretty impressive, as was the level of patronising he got from the contestants! Theresa to go |

I remember reading about this boy and seeing him interviewed and he didn't come across in a way that I would say made him seem down to earth or pleasant. And that smile on Chloe's face was a little bit maniacal, don't you think? |

I was a veggie for years - until my medication caused issues with certain veggie replacements protein wise (namely anything soya). I love beetroot, but can't see that it would be pleasant in pastry.

I love beetroot and eat it in all sorts of ways but I couldn't do the mushrooms or pastry - allergic to mushrooms and the pastry is obviously white flour which is very high on the glycaemic index so I could only have a taste. I'm not sure how complex this actually is, though, when you break it down. It'll be interesting to see.
sorry you can't eat them.I think that it's complex, but it's also a rather pretentious dish. It's also not a beautiful dish. Oh, and I wouldn't be able to have it because it seems they use soy sauce in it...oh well. |

They're showing too much of Theresa and Chloe in trouble - I'm worried they're going to sail through.
