I agree, I think that they have come up with some good ideas, it's just a case of whether they are any good.

Not sure about that.

Does anyone else think that they should've stayed in the same teams they were in yesterday, if only because it makes it fair.
Yes, I don't see why they didn't.

Not cooking this week really isn't that much of a disadvantage, is it? As Heston's only judging. It's not as if they're losing out on learning new techniques.

Shaking up the teams each day makes sense - keeps them on their toes, means they can't talk tactics each night.

Plus it is still an individual competition - not a team thing. So everyone gets a chance to shine (or fail!)

Ok, I'm shouting at Theresa, she's the only one faffing around with cones isn't she??

Weirdly, I dreamt a couple of weeks ago that I'd made a cucumber and black pepper granita and served it in martini glasses and it was utterly delicious...

I am disappointed. Yesterday, I think, was a lesson in time management as much as anything else, but today just seems as though it's a "he made bacon and egg ice cream, see what you can do" and it's not what I have come to expect from Heston week.

True. Stops them getting too comfortable with each other's strengths and weaknesses.

Prawn cocktail icecream with lettuce? Er, no thanks.

Gary: "you'll be judged on flavour AND deliciousness" - well, that's good, wouldn't want to judge on one without the other

And not before time

Listen to the judges, especially Heston or "back yourself"? It's a no brainer!

I think that you're right. They made the mistake of thinking that they knew better than Gary and Heston when it came to fat content of cheese vs fat content of ice cream and it's just not worked...and now they're having issues with their lollies!

I'm not sure I like this idea of savoury ice cream at all.

the soda water causing the ice block to separate was always going to happen. It is very difficult to make something fizzy freeze properly

Something about that has really tickled me. It's not a phrase you hear often.

I was thinking that, everything she's done has turned to gold

Is this so they can prove that returning contestants are not just elimination fodder?

If she could keep her mouth closed it wouldn't be so bad. Have to say that so far I am super disappointed with Heston week (yes, I am saying it again). But yay, weepy and twit are in the elimination.
