Elise to go. She didn't mention parfait, but she's making a bloody sphere.

Elise wants a top three dish so she can be pleased with herself? What on earth would that look like if it isn't the way she usually looks?

Could she possibly be any more smug? Seriously.

Hard to see how!

A hollowed out sphere from her - wow, never seen that before.

Can we say 'one trick pony'? Two at most.

I'm worried that Brett seems to be getting the hang of things. He might not be eliminated soon which could mean someone we like will go.

Well they are liking his food again. I didn't want to hear that particular statement from George to him, that's for certain. He's going to live off that statement forever (Brett is).

we should have known the pirate would have won a challenge where one of the ingredients was rum

And the fact that Brett is the only one old enough to remember that dish has absolutely 'nothing' to do with why he selected it. I remember this challenge from before, and I think that at the time I thought it sounded rather awful.

Elise.

Interesting to hear that Theresa acknowledges her timing is a weakness.

Ha!

I would have posted earlier, but was struck dumb by George's statement to Brett

I would do a sweet/savoury apricot consommé with poached chicken breast

Made into a spherical parfait, natch 🙄

instead of chicken roulade they could have made it into a sphere with an apricot explosion in the middle

Or, as was mentioned earlier, an apricot parfait with crispy chicken skin...

Theresa is again doing stuff that's not working with the time they have to actually cook. I get the feeling (good) that she may well be going home this week.

As for George's comment to Brett, NOOOO.

Yes, but I think that his creativity may well go seriously in his favour. And LOL did you see Matt's face when he tried Brett's sauce?

Yup - kind of equates to reinventing apricot chicken by presenting cheese on toast...

did brett only just crisp up the bacon and then say he was putting the chicken in the oven for just 4 minutes ?

will that be long enough to cook it, even with it being bashed out quite thin ?

I think that Mimi's overcooked cauliflower puree is pushing her to the edge, but she might just be saved by the fact that Theresa could well end up serving undercooked (or no) chicken at all.

Doesn't help that she again was beaten by bad timing. It's almost as though her brother is there whispering in her ear that timings don't matter.

I reckon Mimi and Theresa are sure things for bottom 3 - I would have thought an apricot and chicken curry was inventive enough to save Trent, but the edit suggests it's between him and Matt
