I think that the fact he bears something of a resemblance to Harry and that guy (was it Charlie?) with the hair who was eliminated quite early on (the one who decided that he was going to become a dessert chef and thought he was much better than he actually was) doesn't help all that much in making him memorable.
I love goat's cheese, quite often I have it with cranberries and on oat crackers. I'm not getting any real clues as to who's in trouble tonight. I do have cat riots going on round me though, so I might have missed them. |

Yum. I eat loads of goats cheese - the recommended daily amount if cow's milk cheese for diabetics is 1 1/2 oz, which is absurd, and you can have more than twice that of goat's or sheep's. No contest!
I keep forgetting Trent's there. I like him, but he's a bit of a blank most if the time. The Pirates pork looks a bit pink to my taste, pork tenderloin has always been a bit bland. And polenta? Doesn't scream Oz to me |

My go to snack!

Well Elena's jus isn't reducing quick enough, so she could end up serving something watery (which, given the dishes the others are serving could end up with her being in trouble)...that said, Mimi's fish isn't cooked properly.
Also, of course, we have Matt with his sides still not prepared and Chloe making something she isn't sure is going to work. Matt looks to be OK. Although desserts to come so who knows! |

Am I right in thinking there's no parfaits on the menu tonight? The diners must be gutted!

So Miss Smug, your dessert is covered up with soil - Theresa's dessert from the Melbourne Star challenge anyone?

Just picked up on Elena, while hanging on to my freshly made cup of green tea as a cat goes flying by.

Are they having a funny half hour? D is luckily asleep in her bed. I've no doubt that just as I decide I want to go to bed to finish my 4k for NaNo she'll decide it's time to play, yesterday she finally realised that if she brought her paper ball back to me I'd throw it again (thus started a 90 minute game of fetch).

They've been all over the place today. I was out all yesterday afternoon, which hardly ever happens - what with working from home and being antisocial - and I've noticed they're crazy the next day when that happens. K even tried to climb a tree when I took them for their walk. They've had the Flying Frenzy time too - it hasn't helped!
Ph dear, Elena and Chloe are definitely in trouble, both their jus and their syrup weren't reduced enough and apparently the dessert was a 'miss.' |

So pleased for Harry and Trent - the flip side of that is that The Pirate and Miss Smug live to annoy me another day
Surely the Grim Weeper is toast? |

Also, has anyone else noticed that Smugface looks a bit like a blowup sex doll when she does her "OMG like I'm so shocked/surprised/astounded" face? |

![]() I'm absolutely convinced she'll be out the first time she comes across a main/savoury. |

This thread needs a warning. I'm sat here reading and trying not to spit my coffee over the screen.

#teamparfaitspheres I know you could argue the same for Chloe who predominately does desserts or Brett who does savoury but I honestly can't remember the last time Elise cooked a savoury dish. |

All she does is pour liquids into moulds and into the blast chiller adds a crumb and hey presto she is through to the next round. Its getting really boring watching as the million dollar question is has it set in time? as another post mentioned in yesterday's challenge she just copied Theresas idea during Heston week and tried to make out like it's an original idea. She is getting so many compliments but I don't feel like she is in the same league as Harry or Matt who really try and push the boundaries and go outside their comfort zones.
I know you could argue the same for Chloe who predominately does desserts or Brett who does savoury but I honestly can't remember the last time Elise cooked a savoury dish. its a competition and there is a big prize at the end of it |

To be fair to Elise - she did poach a chicken breast in the water bath a couple of days ago.
But her sense of entitlement is what gets me - not the overwhelming number of iced desserts that she puts up. |
